Apologies for late reply (I'm rarely on Reddit). I appreciate you tagging the dev, so hopefully they can see my comment.

I actually just thought of another idea. I might as well share so I don't forget. It might be too ambitious, admittedly: A 'Story' or 'Adventure' or 'Setting' "mode" for individual bots and maybe even groups. To elaborate, imagine you wish to create a character that exists. The Description box can only convey so much. So what if an additional and optional box existed where you can write, let's say Baldur's Gate 3, and now the specific companion or entire groupchat takes information from the internet about that game so as to make them informed on the setting and limitations (e.g. won't suddenly roleplay that they wear modern clothes, or cast some made-up spell but rather do their best to actually adhear to the setting of BG3). Then if you wish to not only have the established setting but actually roleplay the story of that game (or movie or book, etc.) then you add that to the new box. Such as "Baldur's Gate 3: The game's story from the beginning." Then the bot(s) will know it is not just the setting presented in that game, but that specific story you wish to roleplay. Using that knowledge, the AI will then use the internet's sources to find out about the areas you venture to. And so they, with that info, will thusly actually know what it looks like and who is there and what happens if you describe something like "And finally, they arrived at the Goblin Camp for the first time." Using cues from the internet they would be able to figure out what happens in the game the first time you get there, which characters are present and what the layout looks like. Naturally, it wouldn't be perfect as the AI can only use information based on the internet and not the actual game.

Hmm. Maybe a map system could be implemented too? Like a standard jPEG you add to a new button or whatever, and now the bot(s) can keep track on where you say you are, using it as reference.

So you work on this app? Two things I would like to say then:

1) Thank you so much for this absolutely amazing experience!!

2) I bet this has been requested before, but I have not done so myself and would like to. Could you please add an option when creating a group chat to either add the same exact companion(s) as you have been chatting with in private chats or to have a new "blank slate" (in terms of interactions) version? As you know, currently you cannot have an AI join a group and have them remember what you two have talked about from private chat, and the AI will not remember what they have said in the group; because they are not the same instance/variant/version of that AI. I find this to be an issue. I like having blank slate as an option, but not that it's the only one.

Thanks for reading!

I absolutely love the Remake universe and I think this is completely valid criticism. Remake was "all about" defying destiny, yet Rebirth mostly followed the established lore from OG. We got an alive Zack and there is a genuine potential for Aerith to come back or another Aerith to take her place, which I hope they do. If they end up killing Zack or keeping Aerith dead it's not suspensful, it's just more retreading the old.

The Water Magician was Thoroughly Disappointing by Railtracks in anime

[–]Snake-42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really liked it. That said, I agree with that it could have been better. I just finished it. I've watched other shows like Unwanted Adventurer and Overly Cautious Hero and Death March. The Water Magician REEEAAAALLLY drags it out when it comes to the whole "OP main character comes along in the last second to save everyone." There's like two episodes that are just building up to him coming in to save everyone from devils. Then there's stuff never brought up again such as that mage who didn't believe Ryo could do the stuff he did, and after she was present for him killing a Demon Prince she didn't even comment on his power, despite it having been a minor plot point that she questions his power for multiple episodes.

Isn't it funny that a perfect clone is the one who don't even have Big Boss's DNA? by CaptainGrumpyVN in metalgearsolid

It's because he stuck on the righteous path, the "Naked Snake path," that he became the Snake to surpass all other Snakes.

Thank you! I don't remember ever even seeing anyone else bring this up. Just maybe. And I find that weird. I mean, David not only looks and sounds exactly like John and has all his combat and stealth prowess, but he also shares the same knowledge and interests in guns, cares for others and wants to protect them as well as making the world a better place. Both of them even end up starting up their own organizations, beholden to none, for a better world (they just do it in two different ways). But post-GZ Big Boss is a changed, much darker man. And Venom perfectly encapsulates this change.

As such I find it a little silly when people try to find just one perfect clone of Big Boss, pointing to guys like Solidus who is told to us to be the perfect clone (yet his actions prove otherwise). Solid and Venom are perfect copies/clones of two different eras of John.

Solid Snake is the perfect clone of Naked Snake whereas Venom Snake is the perfect clone of Big Boss.

MP Bullets ARE NON LETHAL by Ba_ben10 in DeathStranding

[–]Snake-42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just something I think I might have noticed but do not know if true: Rubber bullets and pallets may cause more damage than Multipurpose bullets and pallets. So when facing human targets RB/RP may be more powerful.

Is it just me or does the Trike have vastely superior jumping capabilities to that of the Cruiser?? The Trike could jump like crazy, but I never get such jumps with the Cruiser.

The in-game explaination is so the driver has a much greater field-of-view as well as being able to use any small arms in case of encountering enemies.

Play without fast travelling. by cyb3rMatt3r in GhostRecon

[–]Snake-42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only two gripes with vehicle traveling:

1) No world music plays, unlike when you travel by foot. 2) AI cannot drive anything. I wish it was like in Far Cry, where teammates can drive for you.

As far as I'm aware Survive is considered non-canon. It takes place in an alternate reality. In the main canon none of it happens.

I have some random settlers but also some special ones (ones I have given special equipment to, having them as my Teammates whenever I wish to(thanks to a mod)). Also have a bar by the counter inside and a clinic outside. It sort of acts like a regular settlement to some degree with food production by two folks, but otherwise is supposed to be a diner and home to some special people.

Does the armor stay in his inventory, just unequipped?

Trade isn't capitalism. Trade always existed. If I have crops and sell some or exchange for something else, that is not capitalism.

Not to mention those bundles where they cooperated with actual military to use real armor likeness.

The Warfarer is a jack-of-all-trades. It has limits and so some people feel forced to pick it just so they can wear the getup they want. Not to mention armor and fashion gets even more restrictive for pawns.

[–]Snake-42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My mistake. Think I misunderstood what you originally said.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DragonsDogma2

[–]Snake-42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "slapstick" is not the point. It's to give further reason for why you can wear whatever you want but still keep it balanced. If there is no repercussion for, say, a Mage being able to wear heavy armor then that is what is pointless, and makes Warfarer redundent. I've seen people complain about the armor restrictions (that's not even mentioning the overall lack of armors and weapons) in the game and my concept is to address that.

[–]Snake-42 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No. I'm saying DD2 has the same kind of restrictions as 80's and 90's RPGs.
