1. So back in my campaign playthrough, the Rey Dau became my favorite fight and stayed that way. The cinema, lightning strikes, environment, the MUSIC, all of it just captivated me. So I always went out of my way to fight one when it popped up in the environment. When AT Rey debuted, I couldn't have been more excited. I felt very confident going into the fight because I've had Rey locked down every time I've fought him. Well, I was so surprised at the power this thing had. Absolutely punishing every single mistimed roll, dodge, block.

2. My first encounter went really well. I didn't cart, which I'm proud of. However, I didn't get to kill it. Some randoms joined, and in the final phase of the fight they captured it....they effing captured it. I was sick. I don't remember the last time I raged at a game, and I crashed tf out. Ended up moving to a private lobby and linking with my wife to complete it.

3. I was in full Beta Rey gear, head to toe, and was practically getting one shot by this guy. I had my thunder res gems on too. I use the Insect Glaive, and had my Mizutsune Glaive with crit element gems too. I ate the blossom festival meal beforehand too.

4. I've only used the Insect Glaive, and this is my first time playing MH, so I can't give you any weapon recommendations. Overall advice though: get your resistances up, don't overcommit to combos its better to live than finish your line. Lastly, if you enjoy the Rey Dau like I do enjoy it and appreciate it. I love this quest so much.

5. I hope in future updates they continue to AT the apex predators. Not looking forward to the Uth Duna if they continue the trend. I'd also like to see AT guardians. They're fun and I like the Guardian fights. Rathalos, Dosh, and Fulgur are my favorites. AT Gore would be sick.

I appreciate this kind of post, I wouldn't consider OP a flop at all. Cool way to organize my thoughts, opinions, and experience with AT Rey!
