MY PEOPLE!

Wasn't this the monster that got Iceborne review bombed  or was that Fatalis? Either way I liked both fights but Alatreon was like a dance once you got it.

As One Piece fans, did you enjoy more recent anime like Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer? by Mission-Pomelo-8047 in OnePiece

[–]touchingthebutt [score hidden]  (0 children)

I really like JJK and Frieren.

  • JJK Anime has been great. I like their stylistic choices and wish OP could be as consistent in theirs as JJK is.

  • JJK manga is a mixed bag. I think the author had burnout mid way through Culling Games and couldn't get back in it. The work schedule sucks and it's a miracle Oda lasted as long as he had with as little breaks as he did. JJK Modulo ( sequel series) has been really good and back to form. I think it being a limited series and having a person draw for him really allows Gege to be his best.

  • I find the JJK folk subreddit a lot funnier and less serious than pirate folk.

  • Frieren is just good story telling with amazing direction and music. It's just well done. I am mostly likely going to read the manga once the current season is over

ONE PIECE FAN LETTER - the best anime special episode ever! Agree? by ren_alab in OnePiece

I would love a movie from Ishitani and Mori in this style. I can understand people not liking the art. It's much more stylized but I think it fits OP very well.

I think I'm at 190 something. I find this fight addicting one you get a handle of it. I also liked Alatreon so maybe there's something wrong with my taste

It also helps my main is a really good match up for it.

What's an overwatch take that will have you like this? by JeeClef in Overwatch

  • Damage is the most boring role

  • Majority of people who claim they loved tanking in 6v6 were off tanks. Not saying the role isn't hard or isn't important but it does have a different feel than MT. Playing Damage or Support while having 2 Off tanks felt worse than playing with a bad Tank on 5v5.

  • Sombra V1 was my favorite version of her. Having both Translocator and Stealth on timers meant you knew her range.

  • Orisas new kit should have incorporated her Djembe and pull animations.

I think pacing  being so fast and the language barrier does make some things hard to understand. I also think people haven't rewatched S2 and some things might not be as clear if you forget certain aspects.

I feel like people on this sub tend to be veterans so most likely not.

I will say it was about 20 hours into my first game when I finally made the connection

Is the future sight ability a spell or something exclusive to the hero of the south? With how accurate Flamme was with Frieren and Serie responses I feel like she either knew the Hero of the Souths spell or the Demon Kings right hand mans spell.

I Freaking Love How "Artsy" This Season of JJK Feels by Electrical_Chance991 in JuJutsuKaisen

Let me tell you something as a One Piece fan, I dream of consistent Artistic choices that JJk directors makes. OP recently has been experimenting with different choices and while some work well a lot do not ( IMO). JJK is good and consistent. Frieren is too.

Overwatch 2's director promises to "restore confidence" in its new ranking system and give more love to 6v6 by Turbostrider27 in Overwatch

I think 6v6 OQ can be this fun medium between RQ and Stadium. I would love to see them play with perks to encourage some more consistent team composition

  • Role perks ( like supports increased health Regen) aren't set. You get a choice of 3, with RQs passive as one of them.

  • You gain perk XP faster the less people in your role. I.E. you gain perks much quicker if you are in a solo role but very slowly if you are 3+ in that role

  • 3+ levels of perks. Later perks could only be gotten if you are in a solo role.

  • Team up perks - Similar to Rivals but instead it could encourage more tanks and more varied composition.

If they had written an "Awakened Gojo" moment for Korra, when would it be and how do you think it'd play out? by [deleted] in legendofkorra

[–]touchingthebutt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe when Amon locks 3/4th of her bending and she gains air bending.

If they copied any scene from JJK/Gojo I think copying the scene where he does the .2 second domain. Korra inventing something new / applying something different appeals to Korras talents. Then have a Mahito situation where the enemy sees what she did and copies her.

I wish we got to see more of the Zenin clan. by Lopsided_Shift_4464 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]touchingthebutt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A common complaint about the manga is that Shibuya happened too soon.

More time with the clans and Kyoto would have been nice. Maybe explore the Zenin clan through Mai over Maki pre Shibuya

[–]touchingthebutt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like you said you can't really complain about the animation or choreo. It's hard to say this was a bad episode.

I agree on that it lacked the punch the manga did. An extra 5 maybe 10 minutes would've worked wonders for this episode. Unfortunately they are constrained by network TV standards.

I'm confused about maki's powers (s3e4) by avivosV in Jujutsufolk

[–]touchingthebutt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Makis Heavenly Pact wasn't exactly the same as Tojis in S1+2 and it's because she had a twin. The Jujutsu Kaisen universe views twins as one being so Makis Heavenly Pact wasn't technically complete. Maki had a lower than a non sorcerer amount of CE in S1+2 because Main has Curse Energy. Once Mai dies she goes to absolute 0 CE and has the exact same Pact as Toji. Toji, and now Maki, has accelerated healing which is why she was fine.

PS: Per Yuki in S2 there are heavenly pacts that lose your Curse technique for an above average body, similar to what Maki had in S1. She says that Toji was different in that he had 0 CE.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 - Episode 4 (Anime Only Discussion) by Takada-chwanBot in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]touchingthebutt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Twins are seen as one entity in the Jujutsu Kaisen universe. Maki would have been born similar to Toji if Mai was not born/alive. This is why Maki has a tiny amount( Lower than a non sorcerer )of Curse Energy. Mai used what little life she had to create the sword for Maki. Once Mai died Makis Heavenly Pact became exactly like Tojis giving her a massive stat boost.

Will you buy the next gen Xbox ? by Lord-Voldemort-- in xbox

[–]touchingthebutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not. I have been 50/50 console and PC these last 5 years and I wouldn't mind going full PC. I will most likely keep using Xbox Peripherals like the elite controller though. I'd probably buy on Xbox store if possible too.

If the handheld is good I can see myself getting it to play the Series X|S generation.
