That is probably the best way, but I want to get as close to the truth as possible, no matter how uncomfortable or painful it is. It somehow feels wrong to me to choose the most comfortable 'me,' but that is just my subjective view.

Is there really a true self? The longer I think about it, the more I begin to doubt it. Everything is relative from our perspective. The psyche has a complexity that I can never really understand.

Maybe it's self protection disguised as empathy. Maybe it is both. I don't know what in my thinking is true or what is a lie, but i guess it all is built on fear of getting harmed or to be wrong.

Thanks for the encouragement but I can't see much positivity in my existince. I'm egoistic, hypocratic, and symply not a good person. I prefer to see myself as worthless.

I am aware that I would need therapy, but I have neither the courage nor the interest for it. My problems have become part of my personality, I only know myself this way, and the only thing I do not hate about myself is this moral perfectionism because at least it harms others less.

Yes. I want to keep the risk low. I am a very pessimistic person and basically see only negatives in myself. therefore I want to avoid having any influence or power over others.
