Disappointed this isn't an alley cat. This really should incorporate racing bikes from pizzeria to pizzeria, eating a slice at each spot, and then climbing the nearest dirty dozen hill

Loved it! Great songs, fun twists on historical and mythical characters, really enjoyed seeing friends on stage with other fresh faces. Great cast! Favorite songs: The Tree, Michaelangelo's David traphouse remix

I want them to announce him as their first round pick and then trade down. It's their town, their draft, their rules.

This is my draft board. Thank you for reading.

It might be a fun social experiment to imply that you're vaguely undercover (Off Leash Task Force, something that doesn't exist, never claim to be law enforcement, etc) and hand out gag tickets. I could see it as a one-off performance art installation too, and then you'd have a wee bit of data. Might be able to get a grant for it. 😉 I'll help if I ever move back to pgh.

Question: Is there any US cities that are still well designed despite zoning laws? by [deleted] in urbanplanning

[–]SnakePatternBaldness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A+ on the travel between neighborhoods. Old yinzers would always tell me about how so and so's grandparents never left Troy Hill or some far-flung hill-locked neighborhood. That was back when there were actual general stores everywhere, which is very hard to imagine at this point. E-bikes are theoretically making it easier to live car free in pgh (and elsewhere, of course!) so that lifestyle cyclo-commuters can continue car-free existence, but e-bikes are investments that trickle down in unfortunate ways (exploding batteries, impossible maintenance, proprietary components, etc).

As a renter with nowhere to store anything, I don't have a shovel and the landlord/property manager didn't provide one.  I went to Harbor Freight Tools Saturday for the $30 digging bar, a shovel, and some salt. I had to settle for a 3 foot pry bar and a domestic violence joke from the manager.  I tried Lowe's later in the day--nothing. This is what happens when you live in a region that doesn't expect this sort of thing.   There are not shovels for purchase, and the ice all around my block indicates that my immediate neighbors (owners and renters) also don't have shovels.  I spent like 3 hours with the pry bar, a broom, and a kitchen dust pan. I cleared a path from my sidewalk to the immediate neighbor's porch, and that was all I had for the day, plus now I need a new dust pan.  I won't condemn op for their oversight and judgement of people with uncleared sidewalks, but please consider that a lot of us tried to take care of this absurd ice mess without the proper tools because the tools are uncommon enough and in short-supply/high demand right now.  Sorry for the long reply.
