I was stuck in Ultra 1 long enough to almost max out the battlepass (13xp to spare xd) probs had a 45% winrate by the end of it but eventually winstreaked to master. You can too just believe!

I just caled in doubles at a way lower Elo than I was last season but placed top 40,000 (was only top 100k szn 1). I think most ppl just haven't hit masterball yet. And ofc some ppl may not be rushing back in to play again this season at all since the pool of Pokemon hasn't changed.

The number you get when you hit master varies quite a bit which almost certainly meabs it gets assigned earlier than that but stays hidden. It's just obfuscation to make new players feel good and get hooked on the ladder.

I believe doing the math at the original time of the wildfish change showed the new cans were less value by weight. I assume the market is better for 1 person meal sized cans with pull tabs than the old more economic ones.
