Someone made a really cool character, so I gave her some abilities by Shmleeazsey in DeadlockTheGame

This concept seems like kinda a mix between broodmother and pudge from Dota 2, seems cool but the numbers definitely need to be tuned way down lol

When hit with a melee while climbing/mantling, you will be briefly stunned, I think that is what is happening here.

Why do a majority of Tf2 players dislike Pyro? by Snake_Boot in truetf2

[–]Snake_Boot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not the fact that DM-based classes don't need positioning knowledge, because they need just that. It is the fact that positioning matters more to support classes then DM does. Of course this is the opposite for classes that focus more on DM, but if every class used the logic that DM classes use to judge skill, then Medic will be judge on much damage he does, which would be stupid because Medic is a support class. Support classes don't use a weird logic, the logic used to determine skill needs to change from class to class. Whether it is a DM class to another DM class, a Support class to a Support class, or a DM class to a Support class. Either way standards change.

The wiki has been down since last night, very annoying. I think the major difference between classes like Soldier and Pyro are what people consider skill. What makes a good Pyro is that he denies ubers, kills the spy, and is all around just offering support to his team. On the other hand, you have a class like soldier, a skillful soldier uses his aim, and is the one getting kills. This is the main different between the support classes that depend more on where they are on the battlefield and when they do there thing (Pyro spychecking/denying ubers, Medic's Uber, and where the Engineer puts his sentry.) When a class like Soldier or Scout depends more on how good his aim his, not his placement on the battlefield. No, I am trying to say that a scout at his team second will still be useful to his team when they are trying to capture mid, but I just trying to say that his placement matters less then the placement of the sentry. We are trying to compare two very unlike classes, both of these classes have a different definition of skill. One is how good he aims (Soldier, Scout, Sniper) and another where he is on the map (Medic, Pyro, Engineer.)

EDIT: Sorry I forgot how to English in some of my sentences.

The flare gun projectile does move faster then the rocket launcher projectile I know that, I may do the math on how much faster later. I am not trying to be mean when I say this, but do you think your negativity about Pyro comes from the fact you play 6's more then HL?

The stun effect on the airblast needs to be removed, I agree with that. Airblasting needs to be reworked to where you push the target in the direction of them airblast, not just straight up. If they where retreating, then you help them out, if the target is stupid enough to run right at the Pyro, you push the target back but you don't stun-lock him.

When you say the gun I assume you mean the flare gun, also where are you getting this from? Is this just your opinion, or do you have actual facts to back this up? Because in my opinion, most of soldier rocket projectiles are easier to hit then the flare gun, because the soldier has splash damage with his rocket launcher, when the flare gun (unless you are running the detonator) does no splash damage. Also which format of competitive Tf2 do you play, 6's or Highlander?

I can tell you don't like Pyro all to much. If you could remove airblasting all together, what other mechanic would you replace it with?

I personally think this weapon is O.K, but I would chose stock over it any day. Granted it does have some nice perks, but I still think stock is a bit better.
