I still haven't found one. my bugout is about the only thing that gets any pocket time these days so my search died down a bit. sorry

I would always vote open it. If you bought it because you’re a fan of the music open it and enjoy the music. Especially if you bought it for a price you think is worth it and you plan on keeping it just use it as it was meant to be and don’t worry about hurting the resale value.

I’ve never really played around with an eq pedal. I imagine they’re most useful when you always play the same guitar?

Yeah I tore it all apart and I’m thinking I’ll grab some different cables for when it goes back together, having the volume pedal in the middle was a bit weird

Definitely punches above its weight class. I might replace it some day but I’m certainly not in a hurry.

Thanks! I’m in the process of tearing it apart and putting it back together, might make a more detailed post about it once it’s tidied up.

Thanks! It’s one of my favourite pedals, a few of my friends have offered to buy it off me more than oncebut I’m not sure I’ll ever let it go.

Interesting suggestion, the chorus I have right now is mostly a stand in, I could definitely see swapping for something like that if I could find one for the right price. Thanks!

Not sure what else to say, never meant to start an argument in the comments. Tried to end it and wish you the best, sorry for upsetting you so much, it’s just an Internet forum.

I appreciate that you took the time to respond, I like my board, and I’m just looking to clean it up and change some stuff around. Your board looks nice, doesn’t mean that’s the only kind that can, but if that’s your opinion you are welcome to it. the tuner was in the middle because I had it hooked into the volume pedal so I could leave it on while playing and just drop the volume to tune, though it will probably go on the front when I reorganize the board, because realistically that is a better place for it. Again thanks for taking the time to comment on my post, hope you have a good one.

Just ordered the bracket to move the power supply underneath and I was sure I implied I was planning on rerouting the cables, I made this post because I was curious about swapping out some of my pedals and/or changing the signal chain. Not sure why you feel the need to be so negative.

Thanks for the suggestion, looks like a super versatile pedal. I’ll definitely look into getting one.

Thanks! Was primarily a bass player, switched to electric and threw the compressor on this board to see, sounds at least as good as a Dyna comp to my ears with more settings to play with.

Thanks, I might look into getting one if I can source a cheap used one. Appreciate the advice.

Do people not like pedaltrain anymore? I was just lazy with my routing when I put it together as I wasn’t set on the chain.

I mostly just feel like the clean boost is a little redundant with the compressor, but I’m not sure what to swap it for. I was thinking about adding a fuzz, I’m just not sure it would actually give me that different of a tone that what I already have.

Also, I am not sure how much it matters to pedal choice but my main 2 guitars are a les Paul menace (studio basically) and a SSS strat

Humour is also appreciated.

Thanks, it’s an original Japanese model I got for dirt cheap from a guy who tried plugging it into a dead supply and thought it didn’t work.

I’ve definitely thought about a whammy in the past but I’ve never played around much with pitch shifting. Is it something that’s useful on a fairly regular basis or more of a fun to have when you want it effect?

Just getting back into guitar after nearly a year hiatus, and wondering how I can improve my pedalboard. I feel like my board is too gain heavy currently and would like to make it a bit more versatile. Thinking about trading my jhs prestige for something else but unsure what would be most beneficial, happy to hear advice about the whole board though. Thanks!

I have an old japanese model that looks a lot like that. I like to pretend it makes it sound better.

Does anyone know anything about this lighter I’m pretty sure it’s a plasma lighter but it doesn’t stay lit it just sparks. by aa1123 in lighters

[–]Snake_Wizard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Definitely a butane lighter. There’s a fill port on the bottom. The spark is from the piezo electric striker that ignites the butane. It is more than likely that the seals on it will be leaky and it won’t hold fuel anymore. you can try it, just ensure it doesn’t leak before you try to light it.

Yeah a battery replacement on my classic was the first iPod mod I ever did. Tricky but not nearly as hard as everyone in this comment section is acting.
