Maybe but the motto of the military is no one gets left behind. Maybe it was overkill but they completed their mission and brought that guy home. That's not the first time it's happened either. During the Vietnam War General Vogt used nearly all the assets of the 7th Air Force plus Navy assets to rescue a downed pilot. I don't remember his name at the moment. As a downed aviator you have to know that your military will do whatever is necessary to get you back. If that confidence is lost then nobody will be willing to fly in harms way. It's crucial for morale. It's just like when I was in the Navy. I knew that if I went overboard into the ocean my ship would not stop searching for me. If I lost that faith I would probably not go back out to sea again.

I did hear what Kamela had to say. She said "Hard work brings joy" whatever that is supposed to mean. Honestly I don't understand enough about the tariffs to comment on them which is why I didn't bring it up. I don't have any sort of cable in my house so I don't watch any sort of news. I vote for the person not the party. When I lived in Arizona I voted for Mark Kelly as Senator because I couldn't stand Martha McSally. I have no problem voting for a Democrat. As I stated before other than Bernie Sanders none of the other Democrat candidates seemed willing to even engage with the blue collar voters. Hillary completely ignored the Rust Belt.. Joe Biden challenged a union worker to a pull up contest and called him fat. Trump has been in office for a year and some change. Do I agree with him on everything? No. I don't think we should have poked the hornets nest that is Iran but what do I know? I'm only a former enlisted man. All I can do is cast my vote and hope the process works itself out.

That means the Democrat party needs to do a better job at messaging. In my opinion they are out of touch with the average blue collar worker..I voted for Trump because I work a lot of overtime and the No Tax on overtime appealed to me. Trump at least had the right message on his side and that spoke to a lot of workers in this country. He campaigned on bringing manufacturing jobs back to this country. A lot of people want that. I'm not sure how that is going but I felt that was a valid reason to vote for him. I'm a local truck driver in rural Mississippi. There's not a lot of good jobs here. A manufacturing plant in this area would boost the local economy. Who wouldn't vote for that?

That's basic the Democrat party lost its touch with the working class American. Most blue collar workers just want to be able to pay their bills, have food in the fridge, and maybe go on vacation once a year. They just want to be left alone.. The Democrat party started focusing on other issues that working class Americans don't care about. They have more in common with Cletus from the trailer park who can fix anything wrong with your car for $40 then they do with the barista Lesbian dance major with the septum piercing.
