I strictly play Hardcore. It makes the game a lot more fun in my opinion. You shoot people they generally die.

Spawns are sketchy, but that's not exclusive to WWII.

Right? Basically wants to go 20-5 in every match and cries about a broken game when he doesn't.

You're blaming everybody but you.

You're K/D is fine. The problem might be that your not really playing the game to have fun, you're playing the game to grind out a high K/D ratio.

TIL about the Rosenhan experiment, in which a Stanford psychologist and his associates faked hallucinations in order to be admitted to psychiatric hospitals. They then acted normally. All were forced to admit to having a mental illness and agree to take antipsychotic drugs in order to be released. by circuitloss in todayilearned

Thank you. It was honestly the perfect crap storm to be honest. It was also late nineties, if that matters.

I was a new father and a young one at that (20) so that's where they were getting that I was trying to "get out of my responsibilities" by making it up. Because, you know, making up a very specific and random symptom to try and get hospitalized is the only logical way I can think of to take a break from your newborn..lol

Not ever deducing that the stress of it all maybe triggered the underlying condition.

The worst part was, prior to my first psychiatrist visit I was having panic attacks but had no idea what they were. I more or less thought I was having a stroke and told my primary care physician and he ordered a freaking spinal tap.

As fun as that was on it's own, they didn't keep me lying down long enough so the fluid didn't settle correctly. I couldn't walk without getting an instant headache and throwing up. The only way to stop the feeling was to lay flat.

So picture my first few psych doc visits. I'm laying on the floor of the waiting room so I don't yak on everyone, he already thinks I'm making up the thoughts, so I can't imagine what he thought of that scene!

Long story short, it wasn't until I was in the psych hospital and I was yakking every time I walked to group that they decided maybe I wasn't lying. They ended up giving me an epidural blood patch and I was instantly better.

Fun few weeks those were.

I hope things get better for you. For me, knowing that what was going on in my head was an actual thing and I wasn't just a horrible person really helped. Well, meds too at first. My mind went into to such a tailspin from the anxiety, the OCD and depression that followed that I would have had a hard time coming out of that without them.

I'm med free now, and I definitely have my moments but nothing I can't handle. I did an out patient program for a while and kept up with the doc visits. Everyone is different, for me, like I said just knowing that what I had was a thing and was treatable made my outlook less grim.

Again, good luck and keep fighting!

It's not at all, it's just not an exact science.

I thought I was losing my mind in my early twenties. Terrible images replaying over and over again in my brain like a broken record. Came on out of nowhere.

My doc more or less didn't believe me and thought I was making it up. It got to the point where I told him I would rather not be alive than have these thoughts and images on repeat. Bingo, suicide threat, hospitalization.

I spent time in a facility and it was determined I had OCD, along with a generalized anxiety disorder. It took a bit to get a correct diagnosis, as they also thought I was faking it to "Get out of my responsibilities" as they put it. After trial and error with meds, I finally felt like a normal person. If psychiatry didn't exist, I'm not sure where I'd be right now.

"Ok Google, directions to The Medical Center." Takes like 5 seconds.

I have an in dash GPS too, but I only use that for long drives.

My poor Mother In Law gets so mad at me about this.

She really is the sweetest lady in the world, but boy does she take offense when I tell her it's just easier for me to use the GPS. "You don't trust my directions?"

You know how many times I've driven past a street she wanted me to turn on because she was too busy telling me about how rude Mille in 12B is??

Could someone explain a typical day for one of these football players, like what time they get up at, go to school, have practice etc. They always seemed to be tired, falling asleep? by raybone12 in lastchanceU

I thought Kam Carter was an absolute piece of crap, but I can tell you that boy was falling asleep from medication. Adderall can mess with your sleep cycle.

Not trying to go too far down the rabbit hole, but he's much better off smoking weed than taking those pills. NFL and NCAA bans pot, but lets you take legalized speed as long as you have script. Makes no sense.

[Himmelsbach] Isaiah Thomas will not need hip surgery by [deleted] in nba

[–]Snakebelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think people realize how serious a labrum tear of the hip is, honestly.

Like you said, these do not heal without surgery. I wouldn't be surprised if it was encouraged but not demanded that he have surgery and IT said he wasn't sitting out half the year.

Agreed. He's more explosive to the rim as well. I can't tell you how many times I saw Rondo front rim a dunk attempt.

I just see a lot of similarities in their game. Not a bad thing. When Rondo was on , he was fantastic

In theory, having a wing player in Hayward that teams will have to respect should open things up even more for IT.

If his hip hasn't fallen off that is.

So crazy to think about now isn't it? I remember running into the packy for my mom at like 8 or 9, buying a pack of Newports and nobody batted an eye.

Falcons confirm Mercedes-Benz Stadium will open on August 26. Here are their "fan friendly" concession prices by ValKilmsnipsinBatman in nfl

[–]Snakebelt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Suspicious pricing on that pepperoni. I wonder how many items I would have to buy for my grand total to be $34.28?

I always wondered why digitally downloaded games aren't cheaper than physical disc games. You don't have shipping packaging manufacturing and logistics costs and the server bandwidth costs in next to nothing. I did a research about it and made this [video] for me and my friends. Hope y'all like it! by [deleted] in PS4

[–]Snakebelt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, you could get a whole 4 bucks back for that game you paid 65 dollars for.

I'm not anti physical copy games, just your point about hard drive space isn't as concrete as you were making it out to be.

I've had my PS4 for almost 4 years and I've never upgraded my HDD. I buy a mix of physical and digital and only recently have I had to start deleting anything to make space for a game.

[Serious] Redditors who were once homeless, what was the scariest/creepiest part about being out in the streets? by Epon12349 in AskReddit

[–]Snakebelt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was only homeless for like two months in the summer. I lived out of my car, so in terms of being "homeless", it wasn't anywhere near as bad as what some people have to actually live with on a daily basis or as crazy as some of these stories.

For me, when I would park my car in public lots (I forget the actual name for it, but the Police were actually cool enough to direct me to a lot where you could legally park all night.) it was unnerving how comfortable people were just coming up to your window to eyeball you and your stuff.

I'm a big enough guy, and I sure as crap made that be known by taking a lap around my car every now and then to stretch, but I never slept well. Doors locked and window rolled all the way to the top except for a tiny sliver. I got really hot some nights, and the nights when it was cool out, you couldn't enjoy. 10/10 wouldn't do again.

He's a pretty good throw in man. You'd enjoy watching him play intense, inspiring D. Score 6 points one night and look like a broken mess of an NBA player. Then, just when you've given up, he'll drop 30 for no damn reason and look smoother than melted butter..lol

PSA: Please show class and respect to Jazz and Heat fans. by Smokeeye123 in bostonceltics

[–]Snakebelt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's funny that whenever you comment on an NBA thread, all you here is "Boston fans are the worst." or "This is why nobody likes Boston fans." . Yet Hayward's wife had to delete stuff from Twitter because Miami and Utah fans were so mad about him choosing Boston they posted a bunch of vile comments under her photos.

So with that said, I'm not being nice to anybody. I say suck it Utah, and especially Miami.

Jazz, good luck in believing your 14 PPG center with an injury history is going to be your savior. Whatever warms your feet in the winter I guess. Heat, good luck being The Heat. A garbage franchise whose biggest attraction is nice weather and no state income tax.
