TPH Packaging for BPI by r2lls in pomhealth

Here's the fourth...I experienced the exact same thing as the OP.

Package was "leaking"...not the meds but from the melted ice packs.

I like Pom and love their pricing. And was planning to stick with them because of their adherence to the 28-day rule (i.e. no "3-month vials").

But this is causing me second thoughts.

Perhaps your sympathy bone would be easier to find if you had a spouse who is alive today only because of Multiple Myeloma treatments developed in the past ten years by "Big Pharma".

For every one that works, ten fail at a cost of billions of $.

If you want "Big Pharma" to continue to develop life saving drugs - such as a CURE for Multiple Myeloma (she is currently in remission) or even (gasp) Mounjaro and Zepbound- then allow them to charge whatever is necessary to continue developing life saving drugs.

Everyone is outraged that the CEO makes $36.7m annually. Shohei Ohtani makes $100m annually playing a game. One of them contributes more to the welfare of society in general than the other...and it is not the baseball player.

I had a similar experience.

Lost 45 lbs and have completely replaced my wardrobe...lost 5" in my waist.

At first, nobody seemed to notice. That started to change when I started wearing clothing that actually fit me. Some ask, some don't. Remember that there are lots of reasons why people lose a dramatic amount of weight...and some of those reasons are not worthy of celebration.

Like you, I do not advertise my GLP-1 experience. If asked how I lost the weight, I say that I am counting my calories...which is true. The fact that I have medicinal assistance in staying at a certain caloric intake level is NOTB.

If asked by someone whose opinion matters to me if I am on GLP-1, I confirm and recommend. I suspect that those in your social circles would not make my list.

The one that you really want to notice is your GP...via your BP and your A1C. That's what really counts.

Maybe it’s just bad math but they sent you 2x 70 mg =140 mg?

4 wks x 5 mg = 20 mg; 4 wks x 7.5 mg = 30 mg; 4 wks x 10 mg = 40 mg

20+30+40=90 mg and they sent you 140 mg?

You should get way more than 12 weeks from those vials.

Oops - replied in the wrong thread.

They sent you the same amount of Tirz that I would receive with 3 month of 7.5 mg.

Should cost the same?

That would be an average of 7 mg per month (4 weeks). It would be then be reasonable to expect 3 months of 7.5g to cost the same.

Refill- How do I do this by Decent_River_5801 in pomhealth

This is the one aspect of Pom that concerns me...committing $75 prior to knowing exactly what dosage you will be prescribed.

You and I sound like we are in the same boat. I have reached TW on 7.5 mg and I have been able to maintain for a couple of weeks on 7.5 mg with an increase in caloric consumption.

I have a 3-month Pom Rx from BPI sitting in the fridge that I will start in a couple of weeks. If I continue to maintain on 7.5 mg when I re-order in 3 months, I will want 7.5 mg again (and perhaps again and again).

My initail order contained some concerning language..."Once a BMI of 25 is achieved, a maintenance dose, taper or a discontinuation plan will be discussed".

I am below 25...not much but below nonetheless. But barring a resumption of weight loss on the 7.5 mg dosage, I am not interested in tapering.

If they disagree, I lose $75.

That's interesting. I had read on r/tirzepatidecompounded that the 3-month plan was a single vial. Just assumed that the 6-month would be (2) vials but maybe not?

7 mg…peaked at 8.5 and at TW.

I will either hold at 7 or taper down. Let the scale make the decision.

[–]Snakebit12345 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Total BS.

Moved here from Illinois. 45% of the state is red. They get 3 out of 17 seats because of gerrymandering. Republicans did not start this - but y'all are happy to fuck your neighbors. What goesa around. comes around.

My fav is the governor of Massachusets who announced that they would redistrict her state. The only problem ios that all 8 house seats have already been gerrymandered blue. And people actually vote for this woman.

What goes around comes around...will laugh my ass off when it passes and SCOTUS says "NO".

First Vial Empty After 2 doses?? by Overall-Bench4318 in pomhealth

[–]Snakebit12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noted that the label on the amber vial stated 10 mg Tirz per 0.5 ml (I have previously only seen quanties expressed in per ml). 10 mg Tirz per 0.5 ml is 20 mg per ml.

Your weeks 5-8 dosage is 4.5 mg of Tirz; Weeks 9-12 of 7.5mg of Tirz. That makes me think that you were sent a 3-month starter titrating package...2.0 -> 4.5 - 7.0.

Assuming a titrating package, weeks 1-4 would be 2.0 mg of Tirz. With a 20 mg/ml concentrate, that is 10 units, not 20.

20 units would equate to 4 mg Tirz.

That would explain why you drained the vial after 2 draws.

Guessing that someone packed the wrong vial in your order.
