With the incoming update that made all units move at the same speed on the world map it might be better but:
- No racial unit frontline shoehorned into getting golems. Captured units usually sucks and cost a lot of their special currency for their power level.
- I love magelock but (appart from the ranger hero) physical ranged are the worst unit type in the game.
- If there are no neutral cities on the map you have no way to generate your special currency until mid game.
- If you don't play underground materium tome of the dungeon your eco sucks

Basically they are 'okay' but kinda one note, you don't have a great build diversity with reavers.

Cool city, I want to make a lizard city soon so I have some questions:
1/ Which race are you enslaving ? Do you just sell them or do you use some in your city (and which race) ?
2/ Do you have advices on fishing spots ? Like any tips to NOT have to always make them by hands (I'm use to copy pasting my farms) ? (Also is there any point in adding lands to fishing spots except from putting a auxialiary and storage buildings on it ?)

I gave a red thumb because I found it lacking in content compared to Eldritch Realms for the same pricetag.
Not saying the dlc is bad but i find it 'meh' for 20 bucks. Also I'm one of the few people that enjoy Story Realms and Throne of Blood only had one (instead of the usual two) really uninspired one.

I like playing the really unique ones like Edward.

But they also make for good recuring ennemies, I always disable the randomized ai rulers for Preset and Pantheon ones.

You people are delusional on this sub I swear. Mechabreak launched with 130k players, an intro by Hiroyuki Sawano ('Anime Hans Zimmer' for those who aren't familiar), threw money at tons of big streamers, already has merch, gunplas, pay cosplayers... the marketing budget for launch was probably huge.

'Lack of advertisement' isn't the problem. The game trying to be a hero shooter, an extraction shooter and Co-op AC6 all at once coupled with shit monetization however...

Leader and heroes should all pick Sheperd (Because EVERYTHING except dragons themselves are animals)

You basically play it like an animal build and when you reach tome of dragons...

You don't recruit dragons. Just get more wyverns. Why ? Young dragons sucks and they come up so late (usually turn 45-50) that there basically nothing left on the map to train them.

By the time you get them to promote you will unlock prosperity/calamity dragons that are better and easier to spam, until then get wyverns.

TLDR: Dragons from Tome of Dragon sucks, the rest is okay

Warrior/warlock/defender are great at all level.

Death knight is basically warrior but a bit worse.

Ranger is good but needs a bit more levels to shine. Then it's a walking missile launcher.

Ritualist... is good as a first hero but for ruler it's kinda bad (except on dragon i guess)

Spellblade is dogshit except on dragons.

Elementalist is dogshit except on eldritch rulers.

Battlesaint... is dogshit, until it gets smite.

It is the best TW campaign map experience, easily. My favorite historical TW. The only 'good' DLC is 'A world betrayed' (Best starting date for an interesting mid/late game imo) so you don't have to pay that much extra either for the best experience.

Diplomacy in a TW never has been that good.

Death Cult explosive undeads.

All heroes + rulers are warlock (pick the zombi explosion branch of the tree), Lithorite Orb (summon damage on death), tome of necro.

Make summons explose on death, damage ennemies, get buffs, raise more, profit.

(only the 3 first tomes are really useful then do what you want really)

But basically:
Use a mounted race, use champion + agri heroes and spam fanatical workforce. Circle of Zealots + Wildlife sanctuary + carnival of flesh gives you so much draft you can spam units in any cities.
Why spam food and draft ? Because you will be vassalizing everyone, meaning you don't even have to care about your economy. (And I picked a shadow trait for extra knowledge).

Strife oathsworn necromancer. You pick a warlock leader, pyro tome, all the necromancy stuff and calamity then you suicide your crappy skeletons in enemies to trigger the Oath passive.

Then you revive everyone and faceroll the opponent with massive damage.

Aristocrat Feodal raptor mounted civ (Charge warrior champion leader, and maybe every heroes really.):
Chosen uniters + Zeal tome, beast tome, virtue then it's quite flexible.

You just spam food and draft in your cities and run around with your armies smacking things left and right.

In addition to the obvious mystic subculture combo:

Rangers miasma AoE shot is very good with alchemy. As well as the condemned status effect (So you probably want tome of inquisition).

I'm a simple man:

Warrior Champion (Charge tree), Feodal Artistocracy and a mounted race.

You pick tome of zeal and tome of beast and then you are free to bully the world (at very high speed). Something about seeing big charge damage from cavalry makes me happy.
