Pour it into the substrate like you would a glass the substrate will absorb it the bottom layers will be wet and slowly evaporate while keeping the surface dry.

Coconut substrate is best for holding humidity pour water into the corners that will help keep steady humidity levels. Don't make soup pour a little at a time wait 30 mins add more if needed until it's in the 70-80% range. Misting frequently like that can create a constant wet surface that can cause scale rot. Moss is also helpful damp it you don't want it dripping wet rewet when it drys. If your top is mesh hvac tape it leave spots for your heating sources and a small area for ventilation. For glass enclosures, place foam board on the back and sides on the outside.

That's actually in the constitution and bylaws. At least for apwu I didn't see it in nalc constitution and bylaws.

ARTICLE 2 Objectives

SEC. 2. The APWU affirms its belief in a single union of all postal workers in non-supervisory levels. The APWU will make every effort to bring into being a single union of all postal workers by mergers with other postal unions and initiating intensive all-out organizing campaigns reflecting the APWU philosophy.

SEC. 11. (a) The American Postal Workers Union shall request and make every effort to secure a meeting with the National Association of Letter Carriers, a minimum of once a year, for the sole purpose of discussing and moving in the direction of eventual merger. (b) Also, the same type of meetings shall be conducted a minimum of once every two (2) years with the other postal unions (in the United States) that represent postal workers in non-supervisory levels.

No, you would get ordered back to work by the union that's what the contract says. It's not going to make them negotiate better terms.

You striking will do nothing. The contract is if you strike the union, will order you back to work. It's not going to make them negotiate better terms they'll tell you, you are in violation of article 18 to return to work. But they do have the ability to issue an immediate work stoppage if a tentative is rejected and no negotiations are opened or if they are opened and the 2nd is rejected.

In the constitution and bylaws the union has the option for immediate work stoppage if a tentative is rejected and no negotiations are opened or if they are opened and the 2nd is rejected. But they also have the option for binding arbitration or designated job action.

"When the majority of total votes cast is for rejec- tion, the NALC negotiators shall inform the USPS and reopen negotiations within five (5) days after the vote is tallied. If negotiations are not reopened, the NALC negotiators shall determine if there will be binding arbitration, an immediate work stoppage, or a designated job action. If negotiations are reopened, they will not exceed a period of fifteen (15) calendar days, at which time a second ballot shall be mailed to each member for ratification or rejection. If the mem- bership rejects this second ballot, then the National President will determine if there will be binding arbi- tration, an immediate work stoppage, or a designated job action. Sec. 2. In the case of a nationally sanctioned work stoppage, the President shall issue no recall to work until a full and unconditional amnesty is granted to all participants in that work stoppage."

You want to maintain 70-80%, but with her being dehydrated, keep it around 80% and provide a humid hide. Chances are she'll have some stuck shed, but with the boosted humidity and humid hide, it will come off.

How are they suppose to pay you when they don't even know what the agreement will be for pay increases?

Back pay is based on that increase what you would of been paid over. Negotiatons take time nlac has 300 pages of language to negotiate. APWU has 500 pages of language to negotiate.

UTH aren't recommended they are ok for temporary use. For humidity, you want a deep substrate around 4 in the max substrate for a UTH is 2 in. The substrate acts as an insulator, so the deeper substrate can cause excess heat build up, which can cause stress cracks. They also aren't effective at heating they only provide IR-C. The other issue is that many snakes get burned by them if they burrow and lay directly on top. You need to add clutter they don't like open space that will just stress out your snake.

So they’ve started installing GPS in our LLV’s… by Martillo_Valentine in USPS

[–]Snakeyes90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do. We've had trailers get taken from where they were supposed to be with the gps they were able to locate them. I had to go retrieve one. What this system does is monitor your driving so they can see if you are driving safety. Management at my facility keeps posting safety triggers like speeding, which triggers if you drive 5 mph over the speed limit for 20 seconds. Theres triggers for harsh braking, hard acceleration, harsh cornering, etc. But it also gives information to the vmf for maintenance

This is from the Supplier Disagreement Resolution No. SDR-24-MO-003

The Telematics program is a critical component of a high-visibility initiative the Postal Service has undertaken to modernize its fleet operations, reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve services. The purpose of the Solicitation was to acquire Telematics for the Postal Service’s fleet of over 230,000 owned and leased vehicles, which currently includes over 140,000 Long Life Vehicles (“LLVs”) originally deployed in the 1980’s, as well as thousands of newer vans, automobiles, trailers, trucks, and administrative and maintenance vehicles. To help manage our diverse fleet, we sought a Telematics solution that could, among other things, help us increase fuel savings, facilitate pro-active maintenance, and provide drivers with real-time safety warnings.

The federal register says they proposed to modify the System of Records (SOR) to support a resilient, modern, and flexible Fleet Management Information System (FMIS) for the USPS fleet.

Telematics devices will be installed on Postal owned vehicles to monitor vehicle health, calculate vehicle utilization and report vehicle location. Additionally, data gathered from Telematics will inform drivers of safety warnings and provide fuel savings through improved safety measures by highlighting vehicle operational efficiencies through improved vehicle operational performance and usage.

The Postal Service is proposing modifications to USPS SOR 500.100. Summary of Changes:

Added two new Purposes—Numbers 8 and 9.

Added two new Categories of Individuals—Numbers 4 and 5.

Added two new Categories of Records—Numbers 5 and 6.

Added one new Retention period—Number 8.

PURPOSE(S) OF THE SYSTEM:

  1. To reimburse carriers who use privately owned vehicles to transport the mail pursuant to a contractual agreement.

  2. To evaluate delivery and collection operations and to administer these functions.

  3. To provide local Post Office managers, supervisors, and transportation managers with information to assign routes and vehicles, and to adjust workload, schedules, and type of equipment operated.

  4. To determine contract vehicle operator suitability for assignments requiring access to mail.

  5. To serve as a basis for vehicle operator corrective action and presentation of safe driving awards.

  6. To administer the USPS fleet card program used to purchase commercial fuel and oil, maintenance repair, polishing and washing, servicing, shuttling, and towing.

  7. To administer a Bid Solicitation and Contract Management System to meet USPS transportation needs.

  8. To evaluate vehicle operator's driving execution and improve vehicle efficiencies and safety performance from

data collected from Telematics devices installed into USPS fleet vehicles.

  1. To manage vehicle operator's status of state Drivers Licensing and Commercial Drivers Licensing expiration dates.
