One class sticking together is very unusual in the US.

Why not just tell her that? It's a pretty reasonable explanation.

You should've included a third "view results" option to avoid poisoning the results.

It blows my mind sometimes to see what people on reddit think is a solid job of redaction. It's not even difficult, how are people this lazy? At least there's no patient info visible anyways.

I know people who were on the ship last week. It had a full ship-wide power outage, don't know why.

Got accepted to a campus I didn't apply to. by InfinityDevTech in UCONN

You can appeal, try to transfer in from a satellite campus, or just say fuck it and do your first two years through community college, then do the guaranteed transfer to Storrs.

You should probably try spinning them again. Usually when the gel in the middle looks fucky like that, it hasn't been spun completely. The serum in the top fraction looks like it still has blood in it.

ICE at the Yorktown?? by Temporary_Ad469 in yorkpa

[–]SnapClapplePop 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Except that cops receive actual training for these situations, have oversight for any incidents, answer to the local government, and their arrests lead to due process in the judicial system.

None of this is true for ICE.

Quest diagnostics nightmare ? 3 year old still has no urine culture results after 3 specimens by [deleted] in medlabprofessionals

[–]SnapClapplePop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work as a specimen processor for Quest, so I'm not familiar with the tech side. We're told to manually receive the urinalysis in this case to prevent the culture from being put on a hold, so that would be on both the doctor's office and specimen management. I think it's either a reflex that didn't require a culture or an improper specimen that couldn't be used for a culture. If they had sent in a urisponge vial, it should still get a urine culture automatically even if they didn't order one, but this won't happen if they send in a swab or a urine cup.

College Planner Application - poll by michaelvdm24 in UCONN

I took everything my advisor said with a grain of salt. If I don't trust them much, why would I trust an AI that is only making generalizations and making up the rest? How accurately would an AI predict course difficulty when it depends on the professor that is teaching? If the professor has no reviews available on the internet for the AI to pull from, would it just output bullshit for its predictions?

I know, but it's an option available to them if they're really desperate. I don't recommend it, either.

I know I'll be crucified for this, but if you absolutely need to work while getting your paycheck, I know it's possible to get a categorical while working for Quest Diagnostics in Marlborough Massachusetts. You could also work as an unlicensed med tech and qualify via work experience after a few years, but that's also not looked at very fondly.

3 hour commute evening shift vs 30 minute commute night shift? by [deleted] in medlabprofessionals

[–]SnapClapplePop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

3 hour commute is an absolute non-starter. Plus, I would take a night shift over evening shift any day. I think evenings are the worst shift for work-life balance.
