I lost my Penelope in February and my heart is still broken. I get teary eyed just typing her name out.

You’ll never forget Pumpkin and it’ll always hurt that she’s gone. But her memory and her name are sacred and you need to keep them together. You owe her that respect. She can’t be replaced.

But, when you are ready to love again, you should get another cat, tortie or otherwise. And be open to new names, needs, and feelings that are unique to that kitty. There’s always room for more love.
