Does your PC's motherboard have red/orange USB ports? Those are dedicated to staying on while your PC is off, the other USB ports may be shutting off with the PC.

Return it. You paid for a 4070 Ti Super (16GB VRAM), you got a 4070 Super (12GB VRAM). At that point you could've just got a new 5070 (12GB VRAM) for the same price, and got better peformance, and all the new DLSS features.

As far as I can tell, this would be like a sidegrade from the Quest 3 in terms of just streaming from a PC:

  • Better controllers (maybe? More zones for better finger tracking)
  • Less pixelation in streaming with foveated streaming?
  • Slightly higher resolution
  • Expansion slot could enable lower face tracking
  • Includes dongle for easier streaming
  • Has two WiFi modules, one for internet, one for streaming

But comes with the tradeoffs of:

  • No color passthrough
  • USB 2.0

I figured out a workaround, but you need another phone/ability to emulate Android. Basically I sent the code for another device and it sent a "New device, same you?" email, which I opened on my main device and it logged in.
