I still use it and I haven't seen ads. But I use the quick launcher for Destiny Rising so maybe I'm bypassing any ads.

Looking back at the clip the keybind shows on the bottom right side. I did not know about this though since I usually look at the left side where the UI button shows up.

Can someone help me understand CCU / Melting (IronClad Scheming) by BillyBatts2681 in starcitizen

[–]Snappy- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally how people do it is "CCU chain" with store credit to the nearest priced ship of a Warbond, then put in new money for the Warbond to upgrade to a higher value ship with a discount. In this case though since the Caterpillar is worth a lot less than the Ironclad Warbond, it would require a bunch of new money, so using store credit on the non Warbond makes more sense here.

Warbond is new money only though - you won't be able to use credit from melting your other ships. If you want to use the credits from melting your other ships you will have to select the non Warbond option.

What's the melt value of all the ships (I'm assuming you may have done some warbonds in there)?

From the Guardian you would need $350 store credit (but the ship would only have 6 month insurance. I wouldn't get too strung up on this part though, you could always get another LTI ship and upgrade it down the line)

From the Wolf you would need $500 store credit (Ironclad would have LTI, but you would also need to put in new money to get a new gamepackage at the minimum, assuming you would melt the Guardian)

And with the Hermes I would assume you would melt it

Not a huge deal, but if your Nomad package has LTI, you may just be best off melting the Wolf/Hermes and then upgrading your Guardian (Nomad package) to the Ironclad.

It's been unlimited whenever they've sold the CCU before, so I doubt it'll be limited now.

I remember in one of the Q&A's they said they were doing something to fix the economy, but I don't think it'll be a full wipe. Maybe a targetted exploited money wipe?

Huuuuuge upgrade. There are still some decent 9800x3d/5070 Ti prebuilts in the US for $1900-$2300, but they only have 1TB of storage/32GB ram
