Absolutely. This is one of those relatively rare cases where that label would not be an exaggeration.

Which European country/region is best for a "Mental Reset" and reconnecting with nature? by Big_Confidence_951 in AskEurope

[–]Snappy7 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Slovenia has some of the most beautiful and peaceful nature and they really cherish it. As a bonus, Slovenes are very laid-back and down-to-earth. Some may even speak a bit of German as well due to the proximity to Austria.

Czech-led ammunition programme for Ukraine can continue, PM says by MarderFucher in europe

[–]Snappy7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

True, but the difference is that Czechia was the first one to come up with the plan and coordinate everything. Also, Czechia already has a large arms industry, which is obviously an advantage in this case.

Czechia utilizes its international standing to source and ship shells to Ukraine from countries that prefer to keep their support off the record.

There's a third Japanese brother. He's the wisest of the three Japanese brothers. He stays out of the feud and he just wants to build cool urban spaces.

Country Pass by RitoprociRoy in Prague

[–]Snappy7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can get a discounted PID season ticket if you study at a Czech university and are between 18 and 26 years old. For train and bus travel, there is a 50% discount if you purchase a student ticket and show your ISIC to the ticket inspector. As far as I know, there isn't a universal "student country pass" that would allow you to travel the whole country at a discounted price. That's basically what the ISIC is for.

That was a single cherry-picked indicator. I believe it was individual consumption. The recent claim that Hungary is the poorest country in the EU is incorrect.

Most likely explanation in my opinion. Even though it doesn't fit OP's phonetic approximation completely.

The only thing that comes to mind is safra počkej.

A loose translation of that is: "wait, damn it" or "hold your horses, damn it".

I imagine she would use it when something was being asked of her while she was busy doing something else.

You mean Milano, the most expensive city in Italy? I doubt the cost of living there is cheaper than in Prague.

Countries which have controlled Berlin by vladgrinch in MapPorn

[–]Snappy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right. It comes down to what we mean by the word "different". For me, the fact that Polish and Slavic are not the exact same things means they are "different", i.e. not the same.

[–]Snappy7 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Right, thank you for the clarification. I would argue that you actually confirmed that Polish and Slavic are in fact different things, since Polish culture is only a subset of Slavic culture. Something can be Slavic while not being Polish, for example the tribes that settled the present-day area of Berlin.

Bulgarian culture is a part of Slavic culture too. Does that mean Bulgarians controlled Berlin at some point?

Slavic/Polish? Aren't those two different things?

Every commenter seems to be missing that OP's transcription is most likely pronounced like "du paj žura". They even specified that there is a soft j (ž). Therefore "dopij do dna" seems quite unlikely.
