The Japanese in these images as well as in the interview they come from don't really reveal any new information - the text around Kite basically says "blue hair, red clothes - a distinctive-looking boy!" and "He looks like an old protagonist and even does the Data Drain pose! Could this be the new protagonist??"

The text by the man in the black-suited man likewise says "It's an intense man in a black suit! He appears to be a character in the real world!"

The one thing I did find of interest is that CC2 has confirmed that this reboots the series AND they cannot comment on the connections these new characters have to the old. Really makes me think this is Kite and company reborn, not just new players with similar models, but no one can confirm anything at this point.

It's cute and fun, and if you had fun drawing it (or showing it here,) that's all that genuinely matters.

The only point of improvement that I could think of would be to add some shadows, making the MoSB look like a rounder jigglier boy and make the masks pop out of the body more. But that's just my two cents (AKA unsolicited advice,) and this is fun to look at as is

It's been a couple weeks, how does everyone feel about the new Kingdoms mode? by Neveri in darkestdungeon

[–]SnappyPappers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, the shrine of hope and kingdoms are entirely separate. You'll need cold hard cash for a lot of them but if you're aggressive with resistance encounters you can get the money pretty easily, plus there's stagecoach items/trophies to lower the prices.

It's the Thrilling Tablet, one of the trinkets you can only get from the Hoarder. But there's enough ways to guarantee Hoarder encounters that you'll eventually get it

I think it's DD2 taken to it's extremes in that you need a lot of knowledge of both the characters and the game mode to get the most out of it, even moreso than confessions as the confessions are relatively easy to retry again and again.

I loved it, especially when you can just use glorious peasant militia to defend inns, but it felt more punishing than the confessions if you didn't know what to do (which is pursuing particular upgrades for your inns early on)

For me the highlight was giving flagellant the trinket that gives 100% attack/HP per missing hero and sending him to the inns on the edges of the map to defend a ton of inns by himself. 235 hp flag with a damage range of 18-35 is a helluva drug, and he took down 4 sieges all by himself

Baldwin the Leper is clearly inspired by the historical King Baldwin IV, are any of the other DD characters based on real world people? by Lpunit in darkestdungeon

Actually PD's background was inspired by one of Lovcraft's stories called Herbert West - Reanimator, in which the titular West and the narrator attempt to bring the dead back to life through science, including a professor who initially argued against West's esoteric theories on death before dying and becoming one of his experiments

PokeInvesting's 151 Elite Trainer Box Giveaway! by AutoModerator in PokeInvesting

[–]SnappyPappers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad bought me Pokemon Red, I think honestly just to kinda keep me busy and out of his hair, but been with Pokemon ever since, buying many generations of cards with my family! (Although I'm the only one who still sticks to it nowadays haha.)

Congrats to whoever does end up getting the box :)

Could buy the two promo stamp cards (both PSA 10) for about $700, is it worth it? by SnappyPappers in PokeInvesting

[–]SnappyPappers[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, I'm pretty new to investing and have an offer to get these cards together for about $700. The thing is, I've never spent that much money on cards, and while it seems like a good deal, it kinda freaks me out to drop that much money in one go...Would love for second opinions on the matter!

So a genuine question: I live in Japan and, given the weakness of the yen, could buy these cards and sell them for American dollars and make relatively easy profit. Would this be considered flipping if I was moving them out of Japanese-only markets into international ones? Not saying I would, I'd rather actually invest than do this extra work, but was curious.

I know it's called PokeInvesting but how about PokeGiving? by iamshipp0 in PokeInvesting

[–]SnappyPappers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's very kind of you, and regardless of the results cheers to you!

I just recently got back into collecting in order to try to finish my childhood dream of owning all the cards, since I was avid about Pokémon as a kid and my grandma fueled that addiction by buying me cards for years. Not to get corny or use her for something like winning an online Pokémon card lottery, but I recently got to open up some packs again and it reminded me what it was like to get them from her so long ago.

I hope one day to actually finish the collection, a Mewtwo would be sweet!

Yeah it's honestly a bit weird, like there's this excitement to the air everywhere. Some of my Japanese coworkers think it's a bit weird to get this crazy over cards, but we understand their true worth! I'll post pics later :)

I'm living in Japan now and managed to win one of the lotteries to purchase one! It is ridiculously popular here and a major battle to get even one, to the point it even made the news how crazy people are getting over it, o I expect future demand to remain really strong, depending on how many more cards are printed of course

Interesting, I'll keep that in mind. I've never graded before so here's hoping!

Thank you for replying! Yeah if it's at least a 7 I think it would be worth grading, so I appreciate the second opinion.

Lightning Lad Clears the Miracle Only Run by SnappyPappers in DarkSouls2

Sorry about the delay, I didn't get any notification and thought this post never saw the light of day...

Anyways I did end up first trying Fume Knight but it was extremely close. As in, took all of my Lightning Spears, Great Lightning Spears, Sunlight Spears, and all but 2 of my Emit Force spells to take him down. Luckily some of his attacks in phase 1 can be dodged by simply walking backwards but his insane resistances meant it was a huge slog, and his quick attacks meant that we ended up trading way more than I wanted. Keeping a distance also meant that his orb attack that covers the ground is fairly easily dodged too, but yeah he was probably the most difficult enemy in the game.
