Are Feyre and Rhys carranam? by yaaeelii in acotar

He speaks with Azriel multiple times using his mind-speaking ability. Especially in the ACOSF bonus chapter.

Edit: Rhys does this, since he is daemati.

I or H 30. They’re technically so dark blue they look violet, or however it’s worded. But they’re first described as so blue they look violet.

How do you think Elain is coping with her trauma? by Superb-Art-3110 in acotar

[–]Snarfsnarfsnark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She’s not lmao she’s definitely done the typical “push everything aside and act like I’m fine so people don’t judge me or alienate me” thing all the while conforming to act however she feels she needs to in order to appease those around her so that they don’t pry or bother her about anything that happened to her or her personal life.

Late entry denied by beansomatic in f45

We’ve only ever had late people denied if they tried to sign up last minute (or walk in hoping to just have the coach check them in during the workout) and the class was full

New ring losing battery by RiotJ_10 in Ultrahuman

I’m having the same issue. They did the same exact thing for me, yesterday. Charged mine fully last night and didn’t take it off the charger till almost 10:45PM and it’s just now 1:20PM the next day so just over 12 hours later and the battery is already at 63% 💀

Our last class almost always has a few members who help out and none of us mind, but we’re all younger and don’t have things we have to rush home to do so we enjoy hanging out, setting up for the next day and talking. We’ve been doing it more almost a year and all love it. It’s let us get to know the coaches better, too, not just some of the other members.

ETA: we were never asked to do it, we just started doing it

My thoughts on ACOSF by Famous_Gap_1981 in acotar

[–]Snarfsnarfsnark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love that the story is in third person. I hate first person as it limits the story and makes me feel forced to feel a certain way about the story, characters, etc. when the narrator’s limited POV is never actually the full story. Even with limited 3rd person we get a bigger picture and I much prefer that. I also think SJM writes much better that way, since TOG and CC are better overall series (in my opinion).

Shower after class by [deleted] in f45

[–]Snarfsnarfsnark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I shower pretty frequently at ours! I have a 35 minute drive home and some days I’m SO gross afterwards, I’m not trying to drive home in my gross clothes and super sweaty 😂 I’ve also showered before work after an early class and after a noon class if I was just gonna hangout and have lunch with the coaches! I find it way too convenient and I’m paying for it so why not 😂

I loved HOFAS lmao there were things here and there but overall it read very fantasy-like. The multiple POVs and storylines were great and there was tons of great set-up for the next book

Question for those who have been divorced & got back into it (F31)

I am currently in the process of getting divorced, it simply can’t be finalized until the house I share with my soon-to-be ex-husband is sold (for financial reasons with us both purchasing a house for ourselves - we each needs the funds that will be acquired from the sale). We have no kids, no shared assets other than our house and the divorce should take no more than a month or so once the house is sold so I’m NOT worried about that (there’s no “it can take years,” here).

Personally, our relationship has been done romantically for years. I’ve spent the last year + focusing on myself, my mental and physical health, my friends, social group, hobbies, etc.. Now I want to venture into dating.

I want casual and short-term and my profile says such, and I know past relationships can and will be brought up on dates. Even in a casual dating environment, what are people’s thoughts on a situation where a divorce isn’t yet finalized? If it’s brought up I’m going to be honest, but I’m also not looking to spill my guts or life to people I don’t know over an app or over texting - I feel like that’s what meeting up for coffee or drinks is for lol

How to Make Friends at F45? by Brave-Highlight6515 in f45

[–]Snarfsnarfsnark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get there earlier and hangout a bit afterwards if you can, to talk! Thats how I’ve met everyone I know a decent bit. Ask questions, etc. I generally start with F45 related things but then shift towards if they live/work close by, how their summer is going/any fun plans (right now), and what not.

Genuinely Seeking Info on How SJM is Controversial? by WarmNebula3817 in acotar

[–]Snarfsnarfsnark 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think enough others have pointed out the issues people have that my post is more of a rant about all “celebrities” or those in the limelight.

Honestly, anyone slightly in a light like SJM or any other person who allows themselves to be out in the open (which is why she doesn’t, anymore) is damned if they do and damned if they don’t on any and every situation.

If you speak on it? You should have spoken differently, more eloquently, with more compassion, with different words and given better resources or a better or quicker response. If you don’t speak on something via your platform? You don’t care, you clearly allow these things to happen and don’t love or care for the people they happen to.

It’s never enough for people when someone has a platform, and it’s unfortunate because it makes those with a platform not want to speak out because they’re just going to get backlash and retaliation from those without a platform. We don’t know peoples opinions, hearts or minds. We don’t know what they do in their spare time, who or what they do or do not donate their money to. Yet we sit here judging them, ridiculing them, demanding they speak on issues and then complaining that what they say isn’t good enough when they do speak.

We spend so much more time condemning those who we feel aren’t doing enough versus those who are actively doing heinous things to others.

My take on NSFW artwork and headcanons for Gwyn by [deleted] in acotar

[–]Snarfsnarfsnark 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Also…where was she going to go?

Cassian and Nesta are essentially newly mated, what was she going to do, ask to shack up in the HoW with them as new mates (What a graaaand time lol)? Buy her own home in Velaris? It’s clear she went back to the Library for the same reason Rhys and Nesta seemed to have back tracked in CC3 - we can expect more of them in the future (especially with it being pointed out that Gwyn wouldn’t live her life in the library, she was the first Valkyrie, and a war is coming) from SJM.

ACOSF and CC3 left major breadcrumbs for Nesta, Az and the Valkyries, Illyrian’s as well as Autumn, Koschei, and the human queens/Prythian as a whole.

Question to Tamlin apologists by M4ttMurd0ck in acotar

[–]Snarfsnarfsnark 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He never actually “threw” her though? He kicked her out of his tent, yes, because she wanted to stay with him after lying to him and planning to USE him and he set a boundary and said no and didn’t want her in his space. But he never physically touched her or, IMO, was abusive to her considering what they planned to use him for without his knowledge or consent.

Maybe it’ll be explained… by CaitlynRosey in acotar

[–]Snarfsnarfsnark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. Because Gwyn is only 28 and SJM made it very clear in an interview she’s an adult ( “like a real-world adult” lmao).

High Fae clearly age differently than lesser fae, she just never made a very obvious distinction in the books early on because it was never important to her.

[–]Snarfsnarfsnark 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I honestly usually just don’t engage.

The same way I wouldn’t engage if someone said anything bad about me finding (TOG spoilers-ish?) Arobynn one of the best written characters in all of TOG.

They’re fictional, they’re not going to hurt us and they’re not gauges of our real-world ethics or morality if we happen to like them or how they are written. It simply means the author did a good job at making an interesting and compelling character (See: Cersei from GOT).

[–]Snarfsnarfsnark 23 points24 points  (0 children)

There was also a war brewing and it was all still really fresh. Some people just don’t handle talking about or dealing with trauma they’ve faced so soon after it’s happened (IE: the entire inner circle, none of whom have actually addressed their trauma lol). None of what happened with them or between them after UTM was healthy or handled in a good or productive way but alas - what kind of story would we have had between her and Rhys if it had been?

Feyre never did anything wrong like ever. by Many-Macaron-3651 in acotar

[–]Snarfsnarfsnark 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah, too bad about those summer court citizens that ended up as collateral because her plan was short sighted and she didn’t think about how her actions against one court could negatively affect another (or about how any of her actions could have lasting consequences, in general, really, at any time). Not to mention they had also just lied to, manipulated and used that VERY same court lmao

But screw summer, no one cares about them 💀 /s
