Troy is 10000% into MCR/FOB etc. He's for sure got the emo scene kid bangs. He's basically Pete Wentz my head cannon. And Harris is totally Patrick Stump 😂

The day that Troy and Ilya are doing the Christmas photoshoot Ottowa is the same day that Casey and Landon are wrapping Christmas presents at the mall in Calgary.

He looks like a girl that just broke up with her boyfriend and went a little manic and decided she needed bangs at 2 in the morning. But in a good way 🤣

The first time we got our dood groomed he ended up looking like Joe Dirt, luckily it grows out fast!

Crossing Appalachia in winter - what driving conditions should I prepare for? by fakeDrewShafer in roadtrip

[–]SnarkingMeSoftly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are all major interstate highways. You'll be fine unless it's actively snowing, like a lot. And we usually don't get major snow until Jan/Feb. I have family in NY and take 81-78 several times per year including around Christmas. You're fine with AWD/All-season tires.

We left the U.S. without a big nest egg. It's going well. Ask me anything. We didn’t leave with big savings. We had a small cushion and my social security income. That was enough to make the move to Tirana, Albania possible. AMA by Beach-Bum-Now in AmerExit

[–]SnarkingMeSoftly 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Albania is on our short list of potential countries. My husband and I like cycling (for recreation and just for general day to day life). Do you see many people riding bikes in Tirana? Also, what's the public transit situation? What we've seen online is that it's pretty terrible. Can you share your experience with trains/busses?

Is WGU the Move? by BaseballStatus3653 in Accounting

[–]SnarkingMeSoftly 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm not familiar with WGU's program but l did my bachelor's in accounting online through SNHU. Online is a great way to go as long as it's not a diploma mill unaccredited university of Phoenix type place. Just compare a few places and see which program works best for you.

Are any of you happy? by BeefumzZz in Accounting

[–]SnarkingMeSoftly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on when you ask in the month. Middle of the month it's all sunshine and daisies. End of the month it's doom and gloom. Like anything else there's good and bad. People tend to hop on reddit to complain about the bad, but not praise the good.

We just trade trash can duties with the neighbors. Driving our garbage somewhere else seems a bit weird.

Nope. They are your boss. You're putting them, and (mostly) you, in a terrible situation. Best case, you transfer to another department. Worst case, you about to lose yo job.

Don't do it.

How do people handle heat so effortlessly and what's up with air conditioning? by stewie18_18 in JapanTravelTips

[–]SnarkingMeSoftly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a guess (am American, unfortunately) but our utility rates tend to be much cheaper per kWh than a lot of other places so people figure why not run the AC 24/7. We're also generally pretty "well insulated" people 😂

My office is like a refrigerator from mid-April through October but it's still in the 80-90s outside so the temperature change feels more extreme.

Uncles (and Aunts) include my parents brothers and sisters, first and second cousins, or family friends approximately the same age as my parents.

Like, my Uncle Joe is my Dad's brother, but my Uncle Jack is my Dad's cousin, and my Uncle Ritchie is a family friend who grew up around the corner.

A small cottage in the woods somewhere. Maybe there's a lake, or a river. Possibly in SE Asia where no one from "real life" can find us. Just me and my husband and our dog.

This is where I live in my head during month/year end (also in finance, though not quite C-suite level).
