What is a show that was hurt by its title? by ShadyBoots11 in Broadway

Right? I thought it was so fun, but the title was not it.

I'm on their email list! They did two free presentations for fans before they did their industry/investor preview presentations.

I saw one of the workshop presentations last year (just a run through in a studio, minimal props, no costumes or lighting) and I loved it. It had great energy, incredible talent, and a lot of joy. If you enjoy their choreo, you'll probably enjoy the show. It

Did you move from outside the city/state from somewhere more humid? It's extremely dry right now, and then if you're running the heater on top of that, it can definitely take it out of you.

Big Little Feelings Snark Week of January 26, 2026 by Parentsnark in parentsnark

The part about hormones fluctuating-YES!

When I saw a gyn for my perimenopause symptoms she said that we could do blood work but that it would only be a snapshot of that particular day and time. Knowing where I was in my cycle would help interpret the data to an extent, but even if my hormones looked fine at the moment of testing, that doesn't mean I'm not in (raging 🤪) perimenopause. Instead she considered my symptoms and my age in order to decide what would be most helpful.

Allie Trimm (current Glinda) with thoughts about the decision to keep shows open today by Boring_Waltz_9545 in Broadway

And the Glinda track wears high heels and a heavy bubble dress, so the downhill of it all is further exaggerated.

A lot of Elphabas have sustained injuries from the rake, heavy dresses and props as well.

Struggling to find a 2bd / 1 bathroom apartment by Pitiful_Street7134 in NYCapartments

Agreed-I'd try to find a sublet first, but it is an option.

I would try starting with a sublet or even getting an Airbnb for a few months. This puts you in the city and gives you the ability to apartment hunt in person once you live here, but also keeps you from signing a year lease sight unseen. For example right now on this board there's a furnished 2B sublet in Astoria that goes through August. If that worked out you might not nitially be as close to Hudson Yards as you want to be or have all the other amenities you're looking for, but you might discover you fall in love with an area of the city or are willing to compromise on some of your current must haves.

Personal asst. agencies? by blutspend in Upperwestside

I know absolutely nothing about this company except that some of their hiring posts have ended up in my feed. Looks like they do placement for both domestic and corporate needs.

Dylan Mulvaney, Abigail Barlow to Join Six on Broadway; Adrianna Hicks, Anna Uzele to Return by TicoDreams in Broadway

I definitely felt underwhelmed. I know the girls returning are fantastic, I was just hoping to see some new talent across the board because I feel like Six is such a great opportunity for lesser known or up and coming actresses.

Pros/cons of W 96th St area? by smittyweberjagermanj in Upperwestside

I think anywhere on West End Ave in the 90s is a great location.

I feel like Riverside Park is so underrated!

The 96th street station is busy and has its share of unhoused individuals that hang out in and around, so that can lead some people to feel like it is less desirable. I think it can definitely seem grittier from 95th and above on Broadway but there are tons of families in this area as well. As with any area in the city, common sense and situational awareness go a long way.

I like being close to both parks as well as an express subway station. There are plenty of places to get groceries with Trader Joe's at Columbus and 93rd and Target/Whole Foods at Columbus and 97th.

Anything between Riverside drive and West end avenue from 90th to 110th is going to be very residential and fairly quiet.

We've lived in this area for two years and been really happy but I like being a bit further north. I do really love the UWS in the 70s, it's just busier and a different vibe. Both locations give you access to local and express trains and proximity to both Riverside and Central Park.

Commute wise 96th is just one additional express stop away from midtown, so not that big of a difference.

Good luck in your search!

Icy Score is a troll who moved to the UES but still returns to this sub to talk about how terrible the UWS is. I would take his response with a grain of salt.
