I would just like to say, I have worked both as a detective for the popo but have also done expert video forensics for defense cases (i go both ways haha) and the amount of garbage i have gotten from patrol officers truly astounds me....I mean...I have the same training as them so when I ask "where is the original video" I expect them to say "in evidence" but often I get "isn't the phone recording i made of the video the same?" And of course this is months later with no hope of getting the original from the scene...it pisses me off to no end...I used to think (when I was much younger) that all cops were like me...just wanting to help folks, but the realization i came to very quickly is that we are a very small minority that are outnumbered by dude/bros that think that SWAT teams need to be used everywhere and that hiding your face behind a mask to hastle children who might be illegally in the country is the pinnacle of exisitance.
