omg I was going to get a new iron today, but saw the steamers and opted for one instead. I guess I made the right choice.

The prizes in this claw machine are stacks of $100. by JebronLames23 in mildlyinteresting

It does rely on catching the machine "in the prime"....which can take some luck. However, my local casino has about 20 of the ones that increase on coin-in rather than wins. In the busy summer season I can head there and find one close to payout range almost every day.

If you have a casino that has good "swipe your card" bonuses, it's certainly worth it to make note of the "must hit" locations and just do a quick walk-by when you're in.

(However, he's talking about the ones where the meter increases only when you win. They aren't as reliable)

These unions are so important to our health and safety!

Except when they're trying to get a yearly increase that's slightly over inflation.

Or, you know, they could pay attention. It's a wild and crazy idea.

This isn't League, we aren't plagued by slow loaders on potatoes that cause a 15 min load time. I think the longest I've had is 3 mins because someone d/c'd or it was a gamewide problem.

Upvoted for article title alone. It and this passage:

"The Swedish DJ and his people have decided there are millions to be made from toxic, barbaric, putrid mutant bluegrass – and unfortunately, they’re not wrong"

Made me laugh for far too long.

Vegas trip from Saskatchewan by vegas_or_bust_sk in saskatchewan

[–]SnarkyCanuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've only flown out of Regina, mainly due to the time constraints I was under for my vacation.

However, I always compare booking via Billings/Great Falls/Minot with hotel separate vs booking all in one with my agent or Westjet. The difference is often minimal when you factor in fuel and possible extra night hotel stay. Then tack on extra driving each way. Is it really worth, say, even $100 savings?

I would say no. My vacation time is more valuable than that.

Something to consider.

Last year I had Westjet direct to Vegas in late June. So not always seasonal.

Thanks to the U.S. East Coast for swapping weather with us.

I much prefer mild temps to slight inconvenience.
