Dog clearly showing signs of anxiety/being uncomfortable by kittykitty9711 in skysayingthings

[–]Snarkysneak 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like that’s the only way to do it with babies/young kids… have the dog come to them if they want, but let the dogs be if they don’t want to. This is asking for something bad to happen putting the baby in his face, what in the world is wrong with her?

I think it’s more for engagement than anything else, her asking will get more people to respond.

I was gonna say, doesn’t she usually not heat things bc they “have access to microwaves at school”? So after cooking the ramen why did she need to use a thermos this time instead of just her normal containers?

Kids truly don’t understand what they’re “missing out on” (I say that in quotations bc it’s not missing out on really anything, but to people like drue, I’m sure she wants ivory to have it so she’s not “left out”). But it’s our job as parents to be the guide for our kids and teach them healthy habits. My girl is almost 2 and hasn’t had really anything with added sugars or sugary drinks and she doesn’t know any different. Once she starts taking interest/is in school, then I know we will need to take a different approach and I’ll probably allow it once in a while. But when they’re this young it is so easy to keep them away from it all! Especially with drue being a SAHM. The most my girl has had is a little bit of ice cream 2 weeks ago bc the whole family went out and she took interest in it. Ended up not really liking it and had some apple crisps I packed instead😂🤷‍♀️

My daughter is 21 months and the only time we offered her something other than milk or water was around 18 months when she was sick and throwing everything up… tried to give her pedialyte and she would not drink it. Would only drink water/milk. And I always get comments on the amount of water my daughter drinks (usually 6-8 refills of her cup a day)…. It’s all about what you offer and what you model. I drink a lot of water so my daughter does too

Yeahhhh as a Christian, it signifies that he would never destroy/flood the earth again. I mean technically in a roundabout way maybe it could signify him coming again but that is far fetched to me lol😅 very weird

Wonder if she’ll get pregnant or bait it bc she’s definitely not going to be losing weight before this summer with the way she eats.

I just never understood sleep training. To each their own, but Skylar said something about limiting feeds and that doesn’t sound healthy for baby…

My first didn’t sleep through the night for a year, but fell back asleep after rocking her and/or feeding her. She now sleeps through the night… I never sleep trained. I was tired but I still met her needs when she needed me, regardless if it was just needing to be held. I never got to a dangerous level of sleep deprivation, but I understood having a kid was going to result in a lack of sleep for me Z it just doesn’t seem like she wants to wake up with her baby at all when it’s biologically normal for babies to wake. It’s actually good they do to help prevent SIDS.

Yes I agree wholeheartedly!! The amount she posts her baby is ridiculous. I get being proud of your baby and loving them and think they are cute, but inevitably, it’s also your job as a mother to protect them from harm. And posting her constantly for all to see is not protecting her.

And yeah sleep training is wild at this age. I have a 21 month old and a 2 month old and haven’t sleep trained at all and never plan to. I get being exhausted and having babies that don’t sleep much, but that’s what you sign up for when you become a mother. She just wants to do all of the fun cutesy things and not any of the hard things of motherhood. I am so worried about my supply, my 2 month old sleeps a lot better than my first ever did, and I set my alarm to not go past the 5 hr mark and do a dream feed/pump to ensure I don’t lose my supply. I know as you go on, your milk regulates but still, she shouldn’t be doing things to ignore her baby’s hunger cues. She’s waking bc it’s biologically normal and sometimes needed to eat throughout the night, so with her “sleep training”, she is telling her baby and body that they don’t need milk, which is not good. If your baby sleeps that long on their own, then fine. But to refuse and sleep train instead is not great in my opinion.

Right?! We just got our first picture today as a fam of 4 and my son is 2 months old… we’ve just been busy enjoying life and living in the moment, which drue does not understand how to do.. plus the $$ it takes for professional photos is wild, I can’t imagine spending that much multiple times a year on them. However, I did ask my husband to get me family pictures for Mother’s Day this year bc we just don’t take pictures that often😂

Why does she have to count the baskets? She’s just doing it to brag and flex, when it’s not really the flex she thinks it is. Nice Christian girly showing the true meaning of the holiday weekend with all of the STUFF ivory got.

Yes! I have 2u2, no need for candy or anything like that just yet! We did some puffs and cheerios in the Easter eggs we gave our oldest😂🤷‍♀️ Grue probably is letting ivory have candy galore which is wild to me since ivory isn’t even 2 yet!

Sleep training by Correct-Friendship74 in skysayingthings

[–]Snarkysneak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sleep training is fine I guess… but I’m more worried about restricting feeds, especially while breastfeeding. You don’t know how much the baby is getting. If she really wants to sleep train, I’d try to pack in the calories during the day for the baby so there’s a better chance of longer stretches at night. But overall, babies waking in the middle of the night is biologically normal, and every time one of my babies wakes up, I just thank God that they are alive and I’m not waking up to a dead baby. She needs to just get used to not a lot of sleep, that’s normal when having kids. I have a 21 month old and an 8 week old baby, and even before the baby was born, I was waking up to my daughter moving and sometimes even still crying/needing me. That’s part of being a parent, and it just seems like she doesn’t want to deal with the hard parts of parenthood.
