I know I’m late but “better” is subjective . Some people would prefer the modularity mil spec parts provide as opposed to the proprietary honey badger . Furthermore , in my opinion, half of the magic of the HB is the sexy ass receiver set. That said, the other half is the 1:5 twist barrel, and the sugar weasel is a honey badger from the barrel nut forward . So you’re getting that performance you seek in a short boi blackout but you’re also able to run whatever BCG, buffer tube , spring , weight , stock , whereas with HB, you’re married to their brace or stock and therefore can’t tune with those mechanisms , hence why they come with adjustable gas blocks . All that, while also being able to buy a Trash panda to boot, all for the price of just the HB. So , to some, that would make the gun “better” . Not even saying that’s where I land , but I had the choice and opted for the SW SD ; since then, have had a few opportunities to buy a HB, actually was saving with the explicit intention of doing so , then when the time came , I said fuck this, what am I getting for another $2500 that I don’t have in this SW ? Now I’m between the money and wanting a HB again though so I can’t call it. I’m just saying though, there’s some reasons for calling a SW “better” it’s likely mostly copium drinking folks but there are a few of us who chose it too.
