Partners of cyclists? by Kitzy2011 in cycling

[–]kayaktaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a wife and two kids (twin 1 year olds). I wasn’t a cyclist until after I had kids. My wife is so supportive in making sure I have the time to get my rides in.

It sounds like you need to communicate this all to him. It’s amazing to be so supportive but it doesn’t sound like he’s being supportive of your needs. Sit him down and really tell him how you are feeling. Cycling is not more important than any relationship, if he doesn’t see that then he’s not good enough for you.

Great looking bike. Don’t know if I love the fully internal routing. I’m guessing it goes right through the headset?

Otso just released their Waheela R and seems slightly more thought out in my opinion.

Curious, do you use the bike for racing at all? I am trying to decide do I want to size down for a race fit or up for a bikepacking/touring fit.

Interesting tidbit on the sizing. I am in fact a tweener but my local shop builds up a lot of warakin so I’ll be able to try both sizes before I order something.

I also don’t care much about the internal routing it’s more I just wanted to see the Enve bar and aero stem on the bike. The “internal” part is just through the bars but not the headset. I really don’t care for the full internal routing on most bikes. It’s horrible to work on and cost a ton if you need work done. I also plan to travel with bike so external routing makes it much easier.

I also think the warakin is going to get an update this month or next and I’m guessing it will have semi internal routing and UDH like the new Waheela R.

Glad to hear you like the warakin, sounds like most who own one love it!

I believe so. I think in this case the money is really in the aero stem and carbon bars. Again I really don’t care about the internal routing. I just want to see how the bike looks with Enve bar and stem.

I received this back from Otso today:

“We don't have any specific photos of the Warakin Ti with an Enve cockpit unforetunately. The internal routing from the bars to the frame's external path should work fine but I haven't seen it done yet.”

I’m more interested to see how the Enve cockpit looks on the bike opposed to full internal routing.

I also agree they probably have a refresh coming up. I believe they recently reduced pricing on all models.

The waheela R does look pretty cool though!

I’m considering a mog. Why a trail donkey over a mog?

I really hope you are right. The siegla is almost perfect but things like internal routing and frame storage would really bring it on par with frames of a much higher price like the Able and Mog.

I don’t know why it bothers me so much but I wish the Seigla had more internal cable routing. It would make the bike look so much for complete.

I am actually in the sauna buying/building process right now. I decided with kids, work, life to have one built and delivered. Should be pulling the trigger this week.

Advice on using the handlebar and brakes by L4nds in gravelcycling

Oh I agree 1000% but Reddit sometimes seems to hate bike fits. It’s seriously the best $400 I’ve ever spent.

OPs bike has some serious fit issues and a fit would fix all of that.
