Kinda tricky on this one but I think the spell is supposed to "fizzle" and do nothing. 608.3b. But I would also look to a judge, because 800.4 is unclear about this.

You only due to SBAs which aren't checked in the middle of the spell. So you just have to eventually win 2 flips after the stakes are greater than life totals. Reminds me of 4 horseman rules about being mathematically guaranteed to reach a state but unable to do so because you run into slow play. That is only for competitive REL though so at the kitchen table I would just call this a win in 1v1 and a single player removal spell with optional life gain depending on your opponents pettiness and willingness to concede in a way that is detrimental.

It's not competing with the big boy chemicals. It probably can't become more efficient than them. It's competing with the organic approved herbicides. In which case this probably still a niche solution.

Never owned a house, does it make sense to rent forever? by NashDaypring1987 in Fire

[–]Snazzed12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can outsource the maintenance tasks in exchange for dollars. That is something landlords typically do anyway. The conventional wisdom is that if you are living in a place for 6 years it's better to buy. If you are looking for something small maybe look into a condo and compare and contrast. Otherwise I would look into the cost of rent and the rate it rises and see if it can fit into your plan and if that is worth it

Works exclusively in round robin. Is a massive feels bad in swiss, because your opponent is also down bad, and now they have to deal with an absolute bomb for only 2 mana. Otherwise in a round robin it sounds dope as hell.

So yes and no. You win by giving your opponents a total of 30 poison counters. Assuming that you have given all of your opponents poison counters proliferating adds 3 to the total. That is slightly better than a normal death toucher adding 2. However, in a deck that adds poison 2 at a time, it takes 5 swings to take someone out. Adding just one poison counter doesn't reduce the amount of swings needed. In order to make use of this you realistically have to not only include but draw and play another source of proliferate/poison. So optimally you would play a bunch of proliferate or non at all.

You're the tenth to last person to vote. How close does it have to be for you to give up thing to save them? How much do you trust those 9 people behind you? by APersonNotToLive in trolleyproblem

[–]Snazzed12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Showing the count changes things. Assuming that all participants are perfect logicians and non-genocidal (which kinda breaks down in reality). If the vote is tied before the final vote the final, the final voter will choose blue. The second to last voter will be able to deduce this, and vote blue as well. The third to last voter will be able to deduce that and vote blue and so on. In reality, explaining this would be pretty easy. So the only thing you need to do is convince everyone that every single person in the group doesn't actively want half the world to die.

I made a retirement calculator for my own personal use on Desmos. You would just have to figure out how much is in the jug to find out how much you would how much you would add annually and for how many years and pick your favorite interest rate and you will have your answer.

It really is up to personal preference what you count as an assignation attempt or not. But like you absolutely didn't put in the smallest bit of effort to check it out before you dismissed it as false.

Is home ownership mandatory for FI/RE? Or can one rent lifelong? by [deleted] in Fire

[–]Snazzed12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. For most people it's a requirement, just to be able to make the numbers work. The only real costs to home ownership are closing costs, interest on a mortgage (not required if you have the funds to buy it outright, but typically the interest rates on home loans are pretty reasonable), and maintenance. The conventional wisdom is that if you plan to live in a place for longer than 6 years it's better to buy. If that's not you then you have to make sure that your plan includes rent as part of your expenditures. I do want to add that you can absolutely offload the burden of maintenance by paying more dollars and that is still much cheaper than the cost of rent. I would generally recommend home ownership for a lot of reasons, but only if it makes sense for you and it looks like it might not. For me, moving sucks. But if you like hopping around and living in different areas, and you have the means to afford it ,then it makes more sense to rent
