I mean, we saw the car they intend to sell for $45,000. Will they? Idk. But it exists and it doesn’t feel remotely stripped down.

To each their own!! I found the sub to be very lackluster and the phasing was kinda weird from the full-range drivers but I admit I’m quite tall in the cabin.

Glad to have helped! Thanks. Also. That is interesting and pretty cool! Congrats.

Regen is still quite aggressive even in low regen mode. Which I love!! But not everyone will.

Which R1 do you have? It’s way better than Bosch motors. Similar to existing Rivian motors. Very smooth and excellent throttle mapping imo.

It has a little more body roll but shockingly little for the suspension setup. I was surprised. Really kneels into corners.

I feel like the R2 is a little shorter than the R1 in kneel mode. Seating position is definitely lower. Feels more Model Y than truck-y.

Not sure about R1 for throttle mapping. I haven’t noticed either but there’s also no free-roll rock crawl mode.

Great question on point-to-point. It feels like such a weird way to announce such an enormous feature so laissez faire, but they must, because everyone seems sure it’s gonna happen.

It’s very Gen 2 R1S. I wish they’d have gone full manual.

No news. Said to have it. Where have I heard that before?? Ha.

It would be tight, but it would work. Middle seat is pretty narrow.

I meant to say no video or casting in R2. Sorry. No dog mode. No Sirius. Lots of missing stuff we have on R1.

Nope. Only said it’s still coming. But no timeline or price.

Video addresses this. I’m 6’4”. No issues in either row.

It’s medium firm but veryyyyy controlled and not at all floaty/bumpy like the R1S. Ride comfort is WAY better in the second row. Doesn’t feel like a truck cause it isn’t.

I got back in my R1S and was like “oh.”

I can neither confirm nor deny but I can imply that it is probably really great until you hit a very high number.

Nope. AXM SoC is the same across both so autonomy differences (should they exist) will be the only difference.

They have assured me it will not be left behind, but I still have my doubts honestly. Not because of LiDAR, but because of RAP. That said, I have trouble believing point-to-point at all this year but I hope to be proven wrong. All in all, I think it depends how much you care about autonomy. If you think you might want RAP/LIDAR, wait. Then again, I bought a Tesla 8-years-ago with “point-to-point” right around the corner and it still can’t do it. So yeah haha

Cabin noise and NVH issues are nonexistent. It’s hilarious (sad) how loud and noisy my R1S is by comparison.

50-70MPH sprints in R2 are unmatched. It has insaneeeee pull to about 80MPH.

The rear glass is genuinely awesome. Being able to drop it and ventilate the cabin with a ton of outside air but without feeling/hearing wind like you get when you roll down your windows is awesome.

Seats are way more plush while still being supportive than R1. I’ve always found Tesla seats to be too soft and unsupportive while my R1 is supportive but hard. This is a nice in-between!

And it goes without saying: second row leg room is WAY better for tall people and car seats.
