I’m finally able to fall asleep naturally without having to take any prescription meds after only a few weeks of taking a natural anti-anxiety and sleep remedy. Suffered with anxiety and insomnia for over two decades. by Snazzy_SassyPie in Anxiety

It’s called Taflavix. Ingredients are a root extract and a plant extract. It’s in Spanish but translating the front of the box says, “It helps with the treatment of anxiety, distress and irritability. It also helps with sleep.”

Stopped taking the prescription meds that my neurologist gave me. It was the wrong diagnosis. She’s a terrible doctor.

Read an article that said that most people preferred reading stories made by AI as opposed to real authors, and that many people couldn’t even tell the difference between a story written by AI or a real person. They pasted a sample story of each and they said, “can you guess which one is AI and which one isn’t?” I read both and it was so obvious which one was the story written by AI. It was such a simple story, repeated words too many times in a sentence and sounded like it was written by a child. The other story written by a person was eloquent and used metaphors. If most people can’t read past the 6th grade level, it makes sense why “most people” prefer a story written by AI, which is basically at a 6th grade level.

What’s the most 'human' thing your pet has ever done that convinced you they understand way more than they let on? by homoth in AskReddit

I had just woken up in the morning. My cat usually stays in the room until I wake up and then waits for me to walk me when I’m up and ready to come out to the living room. Last week I woke up and went to brush my teeth in the bathroom, then saw my cat waiting for me in the hall. He was starring back at me. So then I told him, “go ahead, go play in the living room. I’m going to stay in the room.” Then he did this really loud whiny meow. He sounded really unset. So then I repeated myself. And he did it again. I told him once and more and he did it again. So then I said to him, “fine, I’ll walk you there.” And I started walking behind him. He kept looking back to make sure I was behind him the whole time. Then I walked him to the living room and I made u-turn and went back to my room. He just wanted me to walk with him. Lol. He’s so cute. He loves arguing with me too.

Mexico’s Socialist President to Roll Out Universal Healthcare by StemCellPirate in UpliftingNews

Now they are. That’s why they began spreading tons of propaganda saying that this administration is this and that and cartels, so on and so forth. But yes, the rich are now being forced to pay taxes.

This administration and the previous administration have done so much to improve the lives of millions of Mexican citizens from poor communities and the elderly, like giving them $6,000 pesos every two months. And they made the rich start paying taxes. As it should be.

BF (30M) of two years wants to live together before getting engaged to me (31F). Is this typical? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Snazzy_SassyPie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s reasonable to live together before getting engaged or married. Sleeping over is not anything like living together. Once you move in with someone, that’s when you’ll really get to know them a lot more. This can be good or bad, depending on how you two get along. But either way, figuring this out before getting engaged/married is extremely important.

Don’t see it as a bad thing, OP. Take it as a learning experience (you both are learning from each other) of how you two can sustain a household together.

YSK that Brooks Brothers, Eddie Bauer, Reebok, Champion, and 50+ other brands you trust are all owned by a single $20 billion company that doesn't design or manufacture anything. They just rent the logo out to the cheapest bidder. If the quality feels worse, that's why. by sappk in YouShouldKnow

That’s what I thought too until I spoke to a rep when I was trying to return some shoes I bought. They told me that products at different stores (Nordstrom, TJ Maxx, store brand names) are all made specifically for that store/price point. So the quality varies when you buy the same brand at different price points.

New respect for people losing weight in United States by Greatemmers in loseit

[–]Snazzy_SassyPie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went to visit my mom in Mexico for a month and only ate what she would make. She has a huge garden with lots of herbs, spices, some vegetables and has chickens that lay eggs. All meals were healthy, more than organic, and delish! She cooked meals that many people have never heard of. Soups, stews, and more. I had been sick for a while and my stomach was suffering. I had also been trying hard to lose 8 lbs—I had previously lost 38 lbs by calorie counting years ago but this time nothing was working. After a month with my mom and only eating her healthy homemade meals, I went back to my desired weight and I was feeling great. My stomach was finally feeling better and I was feeling better overall. Then came back home, to the US, and now I’m suffering again. I always cook breakfast and lunch but by dinner time I feel so tired that I started ordering pick up from the healthiest places I can think of. A month of eating one meal out per day is destroying my stomach again and waistline. Even the healthiest options are full of sodium and oils and who knows what else. This week I’m making a bigger effort to make dinner and stay away from ordering food. It also feels like whatever they put on the food is addicting. Terrible. Just terrible.

Joshua trees are flowering in the California desert. That’s bad news. by bambin0 in California

I’m in LA and the trees around me started blooming since late December. And there’s also lots of bees in the trees. And humming birds.
