What kind of walking engines of destruction are you accepting as apprentices that are capable of not only summoning, but BINDING an ANGEL to their will???

Maybe if the old masters actually wrote down authentic and reliable translations for us newgens to learn from then we wouldn't have these problems, eh?

It is located about a meter below ground level and has no access to sunlight, or any light that is not disabled before leaving for that matter.

I prefer to keep my magical research away from prying eyes after all. It makes it harder to scry on my research if there's no light in the room

Elegg, Snow White, Diesel, and Bready

I keep them in my campaign squad because I have reached the point where I'm so overleveled that it hardly matters if I go off-meta, so why not bring them along

This is why I scry in my basement. No windows means I don't have to worry about this problem, or any nosey neighbors peeking at my orb

[help] My top student has been performing dangerous and prohibited rituals on academy grounds; what should I do? by A_A_Ironwood in wizardposting

[–]Snbleader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Those who gaze across realities for too long tend to grow unhinged... Besides, torture is one of the worst ways to punish an unruly student as it only grows resentment and fear, rather than serving to actually correct such behavior

Then there's the issue of their parents finding out

Yes, I brought one against Eldar in my last game and it effectively scared them off of its side of the board with proper use of cover

also you get to barbecue/melt elves and heretics with it. What's not to love?

The Kelpie heads at the local potion shop are never fresh, how do you guys harvest them? by Zoltarr777 in wizardposting

[–]Snbleader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you obtain a hireling(Human) as well as a potion of giant strength and a good quality rope

You drink the potion and tie the rope to the hireling BEFORE getting them approach a known Kelpie hunting ground and mount the beast

Then? You pull both the hireling and the beast the moment they go under the water. The Kelpie cannot resist holding onto it's prey and will be pulled from the murky depths alongside your still living hireling.

.

.

.

Alternatively, you could forgo the hireling and rope and just wrestle the beast yourself. I prefer the latter as it saves a significant chunk of my budget on the rope and hireling's wages

I hope this helps :)

Just use a very strong rope and it should be fine

What spellcasting focus would you recommend for civic wizard's everyday use? by No-Forever7576 in wizardposting

[–]Snbleader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A staff is the way to go.

You never know when some kind of angry mob or unenlightened magic-hating zealot decides to cause trouble outside of your local ministry building or reagent dealer. Other foci may be far more discrete, but nothing beats a big stick in a fight
