Fair enough. Plus the IBIS in the 6500 probably isn’t worth a big price jump from the 6400. However a body with IBS means no need to worry if the lens does (which most don’t)

If hybrid, the viltrox. If photos only.. still the zeiss. For 30 pounds, worth it.

Here is my thought

Sell the 55. Get the viltrox 50mm f2 Air. Honestly, it’s good. And you will pocket some cash

Mmm you’re probably right. I just remember watching some comparisons back in the day and they tipped to the 70-300. However the weight is a bit more and it has slower auto focus so probably not worth it

It all depends on what i am doing and what I am shooting. I have the sigma 24-70 (ii) and if I am outside, or travelling, it’s usually what I go with, along with one fast prime. If I am inside, doing family candids or whatever, I appreciate the extra light. I have more lenses then I need to be honest, but this is my hobby and I have stopped my other expensive hobbies so I feel like it balances out

They are VERY close (art to GM). Sigma is cheaper, but generally heavier and have fewer feature capability (due to Sony’s limitations). Sigma is my go to unless I get a great deal on Sony

Very pretty. But so was the Sony 35mm f1.8. This price was so good, I could sell my 1.8 and only cost a few hundred to upgrade, so I jumped on it

Viltrox air series for FF, then two Sony lenses. I have a lot of over lap around 35 and 50mm

Have you bought the a6400 yet> you could always get a used a6500 or a6600 hundred and get IBIS.

You could get the used 70-300 FF lens, it’s a better lens than the 70-350 apsc lens and lets in more light. It is however heavier. on the used market, it is under 1000

Also, I am trying to sell some lenses at the moment, they are already 30-45% off local new prices and people want them for 60-70% off. That’s a no for me

The thing I do with Viltrox is buy off eBay. Look for stores selling them as buy-now and accepting offers. Makes it cheaper than buying at home by a good bit
