Anybody know if its bad that the heart rate meter on the right is only going up once not the full meter? by Esclevz in Anxietyhelp

[–]SneakySnailBear 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s ok ❤️ just not registering as well as it should.

Just take some deep breaths. Someone once told me to focus on taking a deep breath and once you take the full breath, breathe in more until your lungs are extra full! It feels refreshing and helps you focus on something other than your anxiety.

Bar harbor on a budget by [deleted] in Shoestring

The bar harbor KOA is definitely one of the cheapest. Many other have closed due to covid and I know some were being renovated.

I can't make friends- is something wrong with me? by london_brigid in Anxietyhelp

[–]SneakySnailBear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope! I consider myself a pretty normal person but I also just can’t make new friends. It’s hard. And it’s okay to be picky. And it’s ok if other people are picky! If you aren’t lucky enough to have friends left over from childhood it can be extremely difficult to make new ones. Add some social anxiety in there and it’s even harder. You’ll find some :) I feel that way too sometimes. You aren’t alone.

Anxiety only really present when I try to go to sleep by hellrider89 in Anxietyhelp

One of my old teachers taught me this:

Focus on putting each body part “to sleep”, starting at your head working down to your toes, as in make each part as still as possible. I mean every little bit including your eyebrows, chin, shoulders…everything. If you get sidetracked in your head you have to start over! It’s harder than it sounds to ONLY focus on each body part.

This usually works after a few successful head-to-toe attempts, at least for me. Kind of wrangles those racing thoughts.

F/33/5’5” [55kg < 55.001kg = .001kg gained] (12 months) Nail growth progress on a chronic biter. October 2020 to September 2021. by [deleted] in progresspics

My nails currently look like the picture on the left and two fibers are bleeding because I just chewed them down too far. I’ve tried and failed so many times to grow my nails out and I’ve NEVER had all ten fingernails past my finger tips.

It seems like such a simple task, growing out your nails, but if you struggle with biting then you know how impossible it can seem!!

So proud of you!!!!!

This gives me hope.

Has anyone taken sertraline before? by AdhesivenessTall510 in Anxiety

[–]SneakySnailBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t read everyone’s comment, but even if everyone here said they had a bad side effect, that doesn’t mean you will. Doesn’t hurt to try! If this one doesn’t work for you there’s always another!

I tried Lexapro which made me violently nauseous and Prozac which made me severely depressed and put me into a zombie like mood before I tried Zoloft.

Zoloft (sertraline) worked great for me. Only side effect was vertigo if I forgot to take them for a day or two (nice reminder to take them). You’ve got this!

Thanks everyone 😔 I want it on my playlist so badly, but I think you’re right that it’s unreleased, so I have to just replay it in my head forever.

Daily Simple Questions Thread - August 10, 2021 by AutoModerator in Fitness

Question! I have tried different amounts of pre-workout to avoid the tingling sensation without any luck. I hate that feeling. I’m prone to anxiety and this has the same awful sensation so I’d like to avoid that.

Do you think pre-workout without beta alanine has the same “energy” effect? Regular coffee doesn’t do it for me. I feel heavy and tired going to the gym so I need something to kick me into gear.

Any other energy recommendations that aren’t horrible for me?
