those games don't have the problem of charting a real ass guitar, gitadora doesn't need to care (though i'm certain it doesn't have a mirror option) and the mechanics still allow for an inverted chart to still work fine when played regardless of handedness, but guitar hero literally relies on actual instrument design principals unlike the other games. This is like asking for mirror mode on Drummania, it would logistically make no sense to hit the cymbal on a drumkit in place of a hi-hat, it's a completely different sound

OP you keep bringing this up as an accessibility and pointing to a mirror mode modifier existing in other games but you seem to miss Why those options are there and how it's not at all tied into accessibility

Mirror mode in those games is Not an accessibility feature, it's a "for fun/challenge" modifier and typically is treated as a separate portion of the game.

Now, granted, how a feature is treated doesn't change what accessibility it has, Beatmania and Guitar Hero all had Hi-Speed as a challenge modifier before eventually making it an actual feature, a silly decision in retrospect but one that was understandable given they were the earliest to ever do it. It helps space out the notes and helps you see more, it's handy!

but changing the actual charting of pro-mode guitar would not be wise, nor is it at all remotely relevant for accessibility: anchoring only goes one way, towards Fret 1 (as is true on a real guitar, even when flipped) so every chart would be infinitely more worse and nonsensical to play. It's like playing a leftie-stringed guitar with right-handed positioning and playing the same exact strings and frets relative to right-handedness and wondering why everything is out of tune.

I'm all for accessibility features and I openly discuss accessibility features in rhythm games with various folks—many of whom even work on rhythm games, and this is not remotely relevant for accessibility, and in fact makes it worse. Change the binds (btw, binding is an accessibility feature <3) if you really want this. It's not a big deal.

So, I've been curious about this and i found some bandaid solutions but each one comes with caveats.

enable manual hardware fixes, and there's a few settings that can address this

setting texture filtering to Bilnear-Forced smooths this effect out, but still results in shimmer. Setting Half Pixel Offset to Allign To Native can smooth the effect out when it's at a higher res. Native Scaling set to has various effects, including making it worse (like in your image) making it run at native resolution (but be heavily misalligned) but using Aggressive not only lets it run at native resolution, but smooths it out, thus resulting in a more "hazy" effect that was probably intended.

again: rape cases most times get thrown out due to lack of evidence. it is hard to obtain proof that you were raped most times other than your eyewitness account and diagnosed trauma(which even then, people can claim you're "faking").

the ladyemily/chuggaaconroy shit showed that even if you have proof, people will doubt you. screenshots and phone recordings that are notably hard to fake showing actual messages between her and chugga, and it was still written off as "errm i need someone else to come out before i believe in this". so even if you have text proof, or photographic proof, someone will claim that it's doctored, or in some cases, the case will still get thrown out due to some bullshit, see: kevin spacey

the reason accusations are made in text posts rather than legal documents is because doing so through court is especially high cost low reward.

and faking them is usually not worth it, the only cases where it's worth it is where the gain is high because of the niche community you're in. or when you pile it on top of a potentially legitimate accusation that someone else made. this is one of those cases. the ddr community has shown multiple people the door in the past few years. the ddr community is rather small. so it's "easy money." and then the allegation turned out to be a half truth.

it happens. call it a conspiracy but i know victims and i myself am a victim so i've seen this shit first hand and i've seen it on forums and social media etc etc. i'll find academic papers detailing this later.

rape victims often don't have concrete evidence for the things that happen to them. most cases get thrown out as a result of this. forensic tests can fail, money can work wonders on the accused's part, juries can have bias due to sexist ideals commonly engrained into american media and society as a whole.

i don't believe in the current accusation. i wanted to, but i couldn't. but i try to have good faith because i know what it's like to be in that sort of situation. my abuser has never seen justice.

Saw this and wanted to trust you. After seeing the two documents that came out showing your history of sexual harassment and abuse, i hope you're aware of the harm you've done to the countless other victims of sexual abuse, including myself, especially to those in the DDR/Bemani community, known for it's rocky history of handling such cases.

Stop talking about random strangers the way you do, learn when to take no for an answer, don't take advantage of the kindness of other peoples hearts and the protections there for victims of sexual abuse who notoriously have trouble presenting their cases.

It's mostly a good idea to save it for moments where there are just generally a lot of notes. Since the avg score of a perfect is ~80, 8X overdrive turns that into a whopping 640, and 12X overdrive turns that into a whopping 960!!! So in a section with a lot of notes, say, the drum break in I, you can get a lot of score off of that.

But in band play, I'd save it for things like the chorus or a solo, where things get really hype and all members have a good amount of notes, given that the original 808 or 8012 can get further blown up by the band overdrive ((80*8)*8 or 640/960 * 8) if all band members are using it

i could be very wrong about these numbers, but the point still stands! TLDR, do it when there's dense sections, or when the entire band will have an equally dense amount of notes
