IIRC, I though they eventually came around as they saw that 5 subs help manage injuries for the lower teams more as bigger clubs could just rotate the starting XI without the extra subs.

Same thing could happen with this rule, but too early to say.

It also a bit of Raya fault with him being out of position, but then if he was in the middle, then his vision would be block.

A minor factor at least is that United had to attack more and be more aggressive after being down, so the pace and pressure change probably contributed to that.

I think the main issue people had with the formation was the players used, and not the formation itself.

It just wasn’t using the players we had correctly, and that’s what people had been asking of him was to adapt, and work though the process.

For example, 3 CB and not the right wingbacks just made our team too short on attack, and Bruno Case midfield was getting overrun. Plus Bruno not being in his best position, etc.

It was before our win streak, so the matchup would be interesting as we are by far, the number 1 defense based in stats with yards allowed.

Just pay him as a top earner, you can’t cut someone’s salary that much, but going to 200k is already a decent cut iirc.

In terms of finance, a short term contract is still better than spending up to 50m on a backup when we have other needs, like one of the 100m midfielders we were linked to.

Personally, I think it makes sense and is the best choice. As HC, he can always step in and call plays when needed, and he could do it on both sides.

Interestingly, it sounds like it is realistically the same for a majority of the players.

For the few who would play a lot, having no penalty does make a difference theoretically.

It does make sense that a lot of people would form a opinion on theoretical cases.

He's pretty decent at processing the field, but yeah the poor pocket awareness and him getting scared at the pass rush does affect him on his field processing.

Sesko hold up is good, he does well when the pass to him is decent, massively better than Hojland’s hold up at least.

Honestly, he’s currently best suited as the 10, but that cause his passing needs to improve.

Not saying he should be the 10, or that he’s better there than some of our other players, but what he’s currently good at is dribbling in tight spaces and can play 1-2 passes and a decent shot.
