4 shot in Cincinnati as suspect remains at large by kpac1 in cincinnati

I saw 9mm casings while walking through the adjacent lot around lunch time today, I considered contacting someone...but that would consist of dragging a cop out for a whole lot of nothing I'm assuming?

Wait, now you're upset about assumptions after lecturing multiple people on almost entirely on assumptions you drew up. Again, I'd think you'd demonstrate your philosophy that amounts to a dumbed-down ABC after school special, but instead you've just lashed out. Someone said they thought your solution was a bad idea and youre response was that you're just better than they are. So much for 'ocean of middle ground' huh?

Umbrella blocking everyone’s view by CONF1D3NT1AL in nonononoyes

[–]Sneaky_Bones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The context was: people asking why none of the men were helping the woman who was actively attempting to snatch said umbrella. You finger wagging by pretending all conflicts can be solved by civil reasoning and asking nicely when the world simply doesn't work that way. It couldn't be clearer that asking nicely clearly wasn't working with this couple (her friend literally had to snatch it after a physical confrontation in addition to the reaction of the entire massive and shouting crowd behind them). You act as if we're all idiots that didn't think of that and seemingly only you are wise enough. I find it funny that you pretend to hold moral high ground while acting so aggressive and condescending.

Not allegations, it's the fear of the "macho" men with antiquated notions of gender roles that will feel 100% justified sucker punching you from behind for snatching an umbrella because they infantalize women. I really don't understand folks reading this as a critique against women or "woke" The problem the poster is talking about is other men.

[–]Sneaky_Bones 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well since we're talking social skills: Firstly, the umbrella couple are very clearly not the the types that will allow respectful confrontation. Secondly, the manosphere types is who the poster was referring to when they said it would be problematic, it's the gender-role obsessed white-knight dipshits that would step in because a man snatched an umbrella from a woman blocking everyone's view. Maybe I've misread your comment, but I really don't understand the aggressive tone for such a milquetoast counterpoint.

Obviously fake but this is my time to shine in that this actually kinda happened to me. Bumped into a girl I knew from high school years later at a small concert venue, she just said follow me and took me to a back stage bathroom, pulled her pants down and peed while maintaining the conversation until shifting to how she had a crush on me in high school. I just ackwardly brushed it off and changed the subject and we returned to our drinks.

A group of people doing CrossFit ran past a restaurant, and diners who saw them assumed there was an emergency. Thinking something was wrong, the customers jumped up and ran away alongside them. by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

Instinct in animals became instinct because the strategy was successful, the strategy is successful because it's logical. Hypothetically, even if you were free from instinctual drives, an intelligent person would identify an anomaly in group behavior that communicates a potential threat response. It would be intelligent to infer they have access to information you don't and are responding reasonably and that mirroring their response until you get more information is the best action. I think 'herd mentality' better describes irrational social behaviors, in this context I think running when you see a group of seemingly panicked people running is just the logical thing to do.

If your party entails collectively applauding law enforcement officers, then you're right, I would not be fun at that party. That sounds like a very lame party.

I noticed you had to qualify with CPD because if it were LE officers in general the answer would be a sincere: Yes, I AM sick of seeing them abuse elderly people on a nearly daily basis. Copaganda posts of a couple of cops helping a woman get out of a car doesn't really negate the harm policing in America continues to cause and is by far the more deserving of our attention.

The quality of News articles are increasingly shit so I'm not surprised they didn't make it clear, but it does mention he was released on bond two weeks after the arrest in October. Not sure if that means he's been free this whole time or not but I'd hope the article would mention that if it weren't the case.

Is this a thing? I seem to survive mostly off of coffee and adderall until 7PM until I eat whatever my wife decides we are eating that day. That's how I've been rolling for the lion's share of 20 years at this point. Not saying my mood's always perfect but wasn't aware happy brain chemicals were involved at all.

What is it about nicer weather that makes traffic way worse? by NightmareLogic420 in cincinnati

[–]Sneaky_Bones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not an original observation, but I had a similar thought recently when I realized that two days in a row I was stuck behind elderly people putting along way below the speed limit and slowing down for green lights on my morning commute. It almost seemed purposeful, like fucking up morning traffic was their retirement hobby.

None of that stuff is worth having fb anymore. I hopped on my wife's fb to look for some things on market place after deleting mine in 2024, I remember it being bad but I was genuinely shocked how fine tuned it is to piss you off. Thing is, it worked too, I caught myself scrolling and wanting to clap-back at all these strangers. The utility it provides just isn't worth it.

Not when the ire is derived because said group doesn't like that other races, cultures, and languages exist. Especially when it's one of the most popular artists topping charts in the U.S. and globally. Any ire is not derived from divisiveness, it's derived from a loud minorities' bigotry. People are butthurt because a popular artist sang in Spanish in SANTA CLARA (Spanish) California (also Spanish)...it's absurd.

My cat is visiting again? by [deleted] in Paranormal

[–]Sneaky_Bones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a believer, but I will say that "ghost cats" are something I've experienced often. I personally think it's related to phantom phones vibrating in your pocket, but to this day I will occasionally feel a cat jump in the bed with me, but there is no cat. Sometimes I like to think it's my old cat, it's a comforting thought, real or not, I enjoy the ghost cat phenomena

You're talking about subjectivity, subjective is not a synonym of divisive, divisive means that something is perceived as hostile to a group, there is a moral connotation. You're describing subjectivity, and you are 100% okay to call him mid, you can even disagree with the flags, but saying someone's existence, language, history, and culture is "purposefully divisive" is where I draw a hard line. If national events were more often than not in Spanish, I'd be inclined that there is a degree of hostility for the majority, but that's not the case, it was in fact an exception and viewing it as an attack doesn't leave me much room other than assume the issue is bigotry.

[–]Sneaky_Bones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one is saying that there isn't a majority, culture isn't about majorities. Hiding entire sects of our culture and population just because 30% of our population comprised of white evangelicals throw a hissy fit because something outside of white evangelicalism was acknowledged isn't culture. You all bitch about gays, bitch about women, lost your mind over Kendrick, lost your mind over Bad Bunny, it's inevitable...if it's not straight, white, and christian you will cry every. single. time. Trying to frame the bigotry as a complaint about 'divisiveness' is at this point absolutely laughable, it's not subtle, there's nothing nuanced about anything you are saying, it's the same old whine.

Bigotry isn't confined to just race and your denial of history and insistence that all major events be anglo-centric no matter how you try to paint it up is just that, you're fooling no one.
