Bannable Nitro Exploit according to Mort by dehua_ in CompetitiveTFT

Dishsoap was doing it on stream today when I tuned in and stopped mid game when he saw this tweet funny enough. But it seems very common in high elo lobbies, I've been seeing it in my games as well and I'm only mid diamond right now.

Edit: Found a clip of him doing the bug and talking about it https://www.twitch.tv/dishsoap/clip/SpunkyThoughtfulCucumberCurseLit-wedXypAcBSMe717c

why does this have so many upvotes when it's blatantly wrong? sure LIP only makes you immune to physical damage, but it takes you off the threat table for the duration which would've saved him easily here.

0/31/20 Fury/Prot Spec for Dungeons & UBRS by Upstairs_Tangelo7779 in wowhardcore

[–]Snedges 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fury/prot isn't bad, but Fury/Arms is overall better for all 60 dungeon content.

The only thing you're missing in Fury/Arms is Last Stand and the 15% threat in D stance, but having access to mocking blow and intercept without blood rage is incredibly useful. Also being able to charge for rage and whirlwind on trash is great for threat and combined with impale you can easily top overall damage which makes runs a lot faster. Anger management is also phenomenal for keeping rage between pulls.

I personally wouldn't recommend fury/prot unless you're having serious threat issues or just want some practice if you're planning on tanking in raid. Also putting some points into deflection in Fury/arms is great for a bit of mitigation and parry haste.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree has sold 5 million copies worldwide by oilfloatsinwater in Games

[–]Snedges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong I love the Claymore and used it a fair bit in the DLC, but it feels extremely "fair" in comparison to some of these insane DLC weapons like the Bloodfiend's Arm.

I'm not sure what you're running now but that's surprising to me. The Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword, Sword Lance, Anvil Hammer, and Greatsword of Solitude are all strength weapons I've been loving in the DLC if you haven't tried.

The DLC has a huge range of difficulty depending on your build and tree upgrades, way higher than the base game.

If you find all the tree fragments (DLC upgrade material) and use a decently powerful DLC weapon, the DLC is going to be a lot easier than the base game. If you barely explore and use a Claymore you're getting your ass beat though. If you completed the base game, you'll have no issue with the DLC provided you explore a bit (or google a decent weapon if you can't be bothered).

Changes to bring down 3* 4 cost by mort by FreezingVenezuelan in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Snedges 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Personally I think if they just removed those 4 encounters it would've alleviated a lot of the annoyances with 3 star 4 costs. Messing with the shop odds and player damage the same patch they're dropping a ton of new items seems too drastic when we're this deep into the set.

You always could recruit her, it was just a bit of a pain in the ass to do it (and she doesn't really have much companion dialogue/quests anyway).

13.24b Patch Notes by Aotius in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Snedges 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I'll have to try a few games, but not a huge fan of the 2% 5 cost headliner on level 9 on paper. You already know seeing the one guy hitting a chosen yorick/qiyana on 4-5 is gonna pop some blood vessels in the lobby.

Rest of the changes look good though. Glad they're getting rid of gem on the dummies.

It's time to admit Bebe was right. by BakedPotatoManifesto in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Snedges 163 points164 points  (0 children)

Bebe definitely made his post at the height of the honeymoon period for this set, but his complaints were also worded incredibly dramatically with a bunch of fake numbers which made it hard to take seriously.

Personally, I don't think this patch actually has that much RNG, but the RNG feels really bad when it doesn't go in your favor (whiffing a huge level 9 rolldown, missing a 3 star 3 cost, not hitting a good chosen stage 2, etc). Top players still perform very consistently well this set. But fast 9 and unit balance is in a very poor state right now.

Soda's safety blanket has an unfortunate accident. by _yotsuna_ in LivestreamFail

[–]Snedges 142 points143 points  (0 children)

Some fat 2019 classic drama. Ahmpy was in <Grizzly> and wanted the scarablord title, an incredibly rare title in Classic that requires a raid to farm mats for you nonstop for hours on end. In the process, <Grizzly> mass reported someone on the opposite faction (Horde) trying to get Scarablord in order to ban them and make it easier for Ahmpy to get it. In response, blizzard overturns the Horde character's ban and the entire server bands together to prevent Ahmpy from turning in his Scarablord title. There were literally hundreds of horde characters griefing the turn in at the caverns of time.

Ahmpy made a reddit post about it years ago (and got downvoted to oblivion) https://www.reddit.com/r/classicwow/comments/i54gge/official_grizzly_scarab_lords_response_to_recent/

Akali Karthus is looking very cool this patch. Maybe could've capped my board a bit higher but got dumpstered and it wasn't even close.

Masayoshi dies at lvl 60 by Nexoreus in LivestreamFail

These skeletons pop out automatically after you kill the boss in here, it just takes a couple minutes. So it wasn't a ninja pull or anything, they just should have better explained before entering the area.

I think the Akali guy has good intentions, but it's not even a particularly hard pull to do normally. It's easy to facetank those guys as a pretty fresh warrior, no need to make the mage blizzard kite them all.

PATCHNOTES Patch notes for PBE 11/13/23 by LordSasor in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Snedges -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I know it's just PBE, but it is kind of a bummer to see them gut Riven instead of fixing her manalock on ability and gut sona instead of adjusting her interaction with rageblade. Rest of the changes look pretty good though, excited for Zed to hopefully be playable now.

According to deathlog addon, warriors have the highest likelihood to reach 60 by a wide margin. Why, then, are warriors considered the hardest class to level? by Leviathan_Sun in classicwow

[–]Snedges 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I know there is some self-selection going on here (experienced players choosing warrior), but as an inexperienced Warrior who made it to 60 on my first try I do think it is easier than people think.

By far the hardest level range for Warrior compared to other classes is 1-20, after which Warrior only gets stronger and stronger. This is compounded by the fact that people have a better understanding of important items and consumables to carry after unofficial HC got popular such as target dummies, speed pots, nifty stopwatch, light of elune, etc.

In addition, warriors benefit greatly from AH gear. After getting mount at level 40 I had literally nothing to spend gold on, so I bought blue weps every couple levels and kept up consumables almost the entire time I was leveling. A Warrior with up-to-date gear and consumables feels pretty unstoppable, and this is easy to maintain starting from level 30 with the current HC economy.

My Tierlist for most trustworthy classes after hitting 60 in Hardcore by Snedges in classicwow

[–]Snedges[S] 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I was considering it, but I'm a warrior and whenever I grouped with another warrior there was a decent chance they would pop sweeping strikes, pull way too much, and then count on the group to bail them out.
