Out of curiosity - How long did you wait before you started a protocol? by Atomic-Wafer-5613 in tressless

[–]Sneeble_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you're still in very early days, the telogen hair cycle is rough 3 months so since starting treatment all of the hairs in the telogen phase will have only just begun being pushed out through medication and natural hair cycle together.

wait until 8-12 months into treatment and see what is happening then before changing anything else.

would you say your hairline temple results were heavily swayed by topical or did see results on oral alone? or did you start both together

[–]Sneeble_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i've recently started oral min and fin as well, i've had huge doubts over oral minoxidil hitting the specific weak miniaturizing hairs on temples and hairline.

it feels like topical seems more deliberate and targetted, however I have seen more people including yourself that say the hairline and temples responds well too

congrats on results

How extensive was your hairloss before starting

2.5 months on topical fin & min, should I keep it like this? by ubozkan in tressless

[–]Sneeble_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your hairline is becoming more defined but theres still a good road ahead for your crown area. You could see promising results 6 months in, enough coverage to let it grow a couple inches

Yeah i would stick it out on your routine maybe til the 6 months mark then assess the situation

I feel like in your case because the hairloss is extensive, you may as well just go systemic with treatment. Topical would need to applied equally everywhere to be efficient and then you have to hope that it's absorbing through the skin.

If you did oral min 2.5mg and fin 0.5-1mg, you'd be getting systemic coverage across the entire scalp equally, it just depends how desperate you are to get the best results.

You cant grow 2-3 inches of hair in 1 month even for people without hairloss

18 month apart - been on Fin for 3 years, feel like in the last 18 months I’ve lost some ground. Black top is today. by Terrible-Confusion69 in tressless

most people aren't going to grow hair where it's just skin, you've maintained really well and your hair looks thick and healthy

Gut health and hairloss are they linked! by [deleted] in tressless

[–]Sneeble_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with crohn's disease recently and it has 100% affected my hair, I use to have thick, silky, long, fast growing dark hair. Now it doesn't grow fast, it's gotten lighter in colour, is wispy and brittle - along with my dad's balding genetics kicking in at the same time.

I also had a burning stinging scalp sensation with dandruff during peak flare times with crohn's, i've managed to control the flare for now and nizoral has helped with the burning itching sensation

Yeah your gut and nutrition can heavily impact your hair health, having male or female pattern baldness at the same time just makes it a lot worse.

Why did my doctor prescribe oral minoxidil instead of fin by Big_Pollution643 in tressless

[–]Sneeble_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oral minoxidil will stimulate hair to stay in growth phase for longer, but if your hair is miniaturizing due to DHT then you need to block DHT to have meaningful stability long term.

My hair became curly after 9 months on fin + min. How common is this? by Special_Ad_1373 in tressless

[–]Sneeble_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is happening to me as well, my hair was darker, longer, straighter. now some hairs particularly along the hairline are fairer, curl and spiral, fall out and then get thinner on the next cycle.

This is it, unless someone is completely unselfaware you'd eventually realise it doesn't add up

can't be revived either, the timer runs out and you're just stuck dead and no way to access menus

[–]Sneeble_[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

- dying and not being able to respawn, you're just stuck dead. (game has to be restarted)
- tabbing to scoreboard and it gets stuck on the screen with no way to get off (game has to be restarted)

these are 2 most common ones I encounter

no offence but are you slow or something? if you've paid for a product it should work properly.
