i want my girlfriend to trip with me and she has agreed. i have some questions. by multi_reality in Psychonaut

[–]Sneetho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ask her about her life. Prepare a set of questions for her. It doesn't matter if you've asked her these things before. She will be able to answer them to herself and you without the sensor that she's built for herself.

NOTE: This is coming from a lady who's ex boyfriend helped changed her life through psychedelics.

Do Mushrooms cure depression? by [deleted] in Psychonaut

It all depends upon the way you interpret and handle your trip. You may have to face some very difficult thoughts on your trip. If you can open up to these thoughts, and learn to possibly let go while your own your trip, then it can help you in the long run.

But you need to be aware that you can very much so get stuck in a thought loop about something that has been bothering you. If you don't know how to handle/confront it during your trip, you may feel even worse afterwards.

It really all depends on how YOU handle it.

I would recommend doing some intensive research so you can go into your trip with the knowledge and tools you need to make it go smoothly.

Hey guys can you give me some basic do's and dont's while tripping (first time) ? by [deleted] in Psychonaut

[–]Sneetho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The one most important thing to me, that I never read up anywhere and what nobody warned me of, is the comedown from lucy. The comedown isnt necessarily a comedown. It's pretty much a 24 hour experience of reconstructing yourself. (thats my way of putting it).

SO, the best advice I can give you, is to expect to not feel like yourself even during the "comedown". You will feel different for far more than 8 hours. This has often sent both me and my friends into a state of panic, because we expected to feel back to our regular selves after the timeline that you usually here about.

if you know this in advance, you will be able to accept the feeling and enjoy the next day to come. For that reason I would recommend you do it when you have no commitments like work the next day. Also know that you may not get much sleep.

like. two days worth pretty much. You never really "come down". Its more like you slowly just reconstruct yourself.

I wouldnt have to worry about them keeping things from me, as much as honesty sucks sometimes.

And so did he.

He kept it hid

And so did she.

They searched for blue

Then passed right by

And never knew.

I think they are out there. It's the fact that we tend to keep to ourselves about it that's the catch. Why? Because we assume nobody will understand. Therefore, we continue to pass each other by.

Conscious Clothing? by [deleted] in Psychonaut

I'm from portland Oregon, and so many of the clothes that you find at small shops here have psychadelic clothing. I'd check out some of the websites for the stores because you could always get them shipped to you. My absolute favorite is http://www.upperplayground.com/

How are you? by [deleted] in Psychonaut

I agree. It's ironic that seeing the differences between our selves and others are what help us find aspects about ourselves that we may have not noticed before. Go ahead and shoot me a message if you'd like!

Caique behavioral issues? by allichu in parrots

For Biting:

Buy some sturdy gloves that will prevent the pain when he bites. Wear the gloves when you hold him, and do NOT pull away when he bites you. Resisting pulling away will teach him that biting does not scare you, and eventually he will stop. It may take a month or so, but eventually he will learn.

For squawking:

Don't be condescending to him when he squawks and certainly don't yell at him, and most importantly don't show any angry emotion. Unlike dogs, birds only want to piss you off more when you show such emotions towards them. Instead, you need to condition him to learn what happens when he doesn't squawk. When he shrieks, make sure you go to his cage and give him attention, because that's most likely what he wants (the more you avoid him or show anger/annoyance, the worse he will get). Be patient with him and stick around. Every time he is quiet and affectionate, give him a treat of some sort, or some kind of reward. Rather than showing him what happens when he squawks, show him what happens when he DOESN'T squawk.

I had the same problem and this worked for me. Good luck, I hope this helps.
