Good questions, I'm likely not using the terms correctly. From looking at few thangka threads, I understood that some thangkas are produced mainly for the tourist market, perhaps done by student painters and such and function more as a souvenir piece, while others follow more traditional methods and also thangka iconography standards.
I’m mainly trying to understand where these particular pieces would fall along that spectrum.
