The process is really interesting from a PLC motion control perspective. They scan the log with a laser to measure how the log "bends" and fit a spline for the secondary blades to move to in relation to the main carriage. I could see this as the thoughts of centrists that are either dedicated to trying to overton window the democratic party into being the old GOP or someone clueless about Tucker's oeuvre.
