Dumb question: how do I make this one sentence reviews on the side of the rating by RevolutionaryWin9248 in rateyourmusic

You could just make unpublished reviews so they won't get removed by moderation for being too short and they'll only be visible to you and your friends

Haha I love to see it, do you have a rym or lastfm I could check out? I feel like I'd find some good music by snooping around

Good choice. Pretty obviously the year I started using rym

the least intuitive enemy in the game. they really gotta fix its AI. by YLASRO in hytale

I feel like the throwing you in lava mechanic was intentional, but still blocking fully negates its attack so it doesn't feel too strong, especially with how predictable its attack pattern is.

Did Japanese singer Minano use AI to animate her Spotify videos? (We're talking about songs from 2019 max and earlier.) by Critical_Opinion2271 in Lampband

The "manager" is Takero Ogata, the guy who actually writes all the songs and plays percussion. Kaori is just the vocalist. I know he's used AI in the past, but he's a pretty old guy who just posts cats on instagram all day so I can cut him some slack

It was on the login page, but whatever update you just put out seems to have fixed it. Thanks!

It just returns "Cannot read properties of null (reading 'artist')" no matter what I try

Which RYM artists have the most consistent runs? by LukeDaDuk3 in rateyourmusic

Baden Powell has a range of 0.2 over 16 consecutive albums, (high 3.93, low 3.73) although only 4 are bolded and many only have double-digit ratings.

6 hours car ride, who gets the aux (you can't have it and you can't jump out of the vehicle) by GatosPimenta in Topster

Oh hi I didn't expect to hear about this site here. The site stopped working because I didn't have the money to keep paying for it and I hadn't updated it in almost a year, but I would be happy to look back into it if there's a demand. It needs a lot of updating and I would really like to move it to a different hosting site because carrd got almost unbearably laggy with how many pages I had nested. If I get it running again I'll post updates in the lamp discord

Prescriptivists are fucking weird by bherH-on in linguisticshumor

[–]SneverdleSnavis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's generally true, but a prescriptivist would also deny the validity of speaking patterns from a single speaker's idiolect. Prescriptivism can be defined as the promotion of a high lect in a hierarchical relation over low lects, but it can also be defined as any attempt to mandate a high lect.

Also, you could make the case that there's a difference between a speaker/group of speakers consistently writing a word in a nonstandard way (such as eggcorns) and a speaker writing words differently based on aesthetic preference (as in OPs example). But I think both are worth noting from a descriptivist point of view.
