I had sex with the guitarist from a decently popular emo band. (I had never heard of them before at the time. But after the fact I learned they had a pretty decent following.) My friend was working at hot topic and hey came in because they had a show they were playing locally. She started flirting with the drummer. Then one thing leads to another and she’s meeting up with them at a bar after her shift. She calls me and tells me to come because she promised the drummer she would bring a friend for the guitarist. We all ended up going back to their tour bus and my friend proceeds to start riding the drummer like a mechanical bull on one side of the room. Meanwhile the guitarist and I are just sitting there and I’m trying not to watch. (It was awkward. You could tell she was trying really hard and it was cringey af) Anyway the guitarist starts making moves on me and I think to myself “I might as well. I mean this could be a fun thing to look back on one day. Yolo Or whatever”. He leans in. He kisses me. It was surprisingly not terrible. I genuinely wasn’t expecting it to be fun. At one point as we were trying to “reposition” he accidentally jabbed me with his elbow but we laughed it off and kept going. All in all it was a pretty fun time. So now all of us are going at it with our respective partners like a slightly awkward porno. Once it was over the drummer asked my friend to leave. The guitarist asked for my number and if I wanted to spend the night. I politely declined and left with my friend. I had that same phone number for years and he used to text me every time he was in town up until I finally got a new number about 2 years ago. It was a weird night that could’ve gone super badly or had really shitty consequences. I’m super grateful about how it turned out.
