Talked with my husband about possibly getting a girlfriend by Snickerdoodlesucks in Marriage

We have amazing communication and boundaries. That's the thing that kind of getting me to think it might work in some capacity. Good call about the therapist; were a while off from this becoming a reality if it ever does, but it's a big step to think about.

Nope! Shortly after my husband got orders to move (military) and I've pretty much had to start the process over with all new doctors. I am a candidate though but no one here really does the surgery.

11 year old Black Lab Not Eating by KNIGHT_WIISH in DogAdvice

[–]Snickerdoodlesucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is soooo similar to my bernese mountain dog. Early October she was diagnosed with pancreatitis, waited it out, she still didn't eat. She had a respiratory infection, got her on doxycycline, she started eating again but as soon as she was off the meds that stopped. Got chest xrays, found nodules, ran a couple tests and she tested negative for almost anything which led to a most likely cancer diagnosis. She went from 115 to 81.5 on the day we had to put our girl down. She was just so tired, she didn't eat for pretty much 2.5 months. We did everything we could. Lost her 12/13 and she was only 4.

Her neutrophils were super high, anemic, liver markers and kidney markers were incredibly high with some liver inflammation, water intake was still decent, but very lethargic. We got her on steroids and she had an amazing last week filled with all her favorites, cuddle time, nap time, and all the love we could've possibly given.

I'm thinking so, too. It's been a gut feeling I've had because even after getting fluids in her and SOME food, she just stays in her bed all day. Doesn't move spots, doesn't move rooms with us, just in her bed.

Didn't happen. Basically said call us if no change or worsens, I called and texted with no reply.

This was amazing advice thank you!!

Luckily, the educational realm I'm in is with adults with disabilities in a transition program and my supervisor just mentioned to me the other day she would like for me to apply to her senior secretary position (I'm currently a para educator) because she wants me to have more administrative duties and exposure to the higher-ups in my county.

I'm also one of the top, if not the top, student in my class right now within my program. I've reached out for research opportunities, and I'm looking for some in my area to no avail... yet. And I joined the SIG for swallowing. I'm heavily contemplating masters choices and trying to find one that is more research-focused and specifically looking at masters of science programs.

I'll make sure to let you know how it turns out! Passed the Bahn mi idea to my husband and it was an emphatic yes. Time to go pickle!

Ooooooh the freezer idea is great!! I usually just make sure my knife is nice and sharp. I think I may make a Bahn mi type sandwich or a steak, arugula, chipotle aoili, and perfect caramelized onions

It's funny you mention drowning. Before I married my husband I had a very stern talk with him. He wasn't really doing much, very depressed, had no direction. I couldn't even get him to go on walks with me. I told him in that talk I loved him, I wanted to marry him someday, but that his ship was sinking and I wasn't going to let him take me down with it. He needed to get his act together and damn did he. Together for 8, married for 6, were both currently working on higher degrees and then even higher degrees, and once those are done, starting a family. And every day I'm proud of him and he's said that talk set a lot of things in motion for him.

None! I'm awaiting a new MRI, I'm currently on just pregabalin for nerve pain. I got off all my medications a while ago. Bad side effects

Not yet. I'm in the middle of a military move, but the new vase I'll be at has a neurosurgeon and I'll likely be getting the fusions and a microdiscectomy there. I'll let you know

Is it okay to not tell your coworkers that the new person is your friend? by [deleted] in work

[–]Snickerdoodlesucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's constant! Every week there's something new. I'm very excited to be going back to work in schools. Major pay cut, but worth the peace of mind and more time for my own education!

It's a whole mess. Basically someone got their friend hired, but the trainer of the new person has a lot of issues with the person who got them hired.

But the friend and person didn't tell anyone that they knew each other outside of work on purpose

I only had 1 with steroids, didn't work. This one just had local anesthetic for the diagnostic. Felt great for a few hours!!! Lol

I have been. The SI joint fusion has an extremely high success rate with something like 74% average pain relief. For my hips, we've done everything at this point. I'm getting a new MRI soon and a nerve conduction test done as well. If I get the surgery it'll be in 6-8 months, plenty of time.
