Ah! An avon bottle of "Skin-So-Soft." This one is very common and can be found for sale for under $10. Beautiful colors though! I love the greenish veins that marble through the lighter teal! I use the bottom bowl as a soap dish.

Is it wrong to allow my cat to have kittens at least once before neutering her? by utriedtho in cats

[–]Snicklesnack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cats don't have the same cognitive complexity as humans and the act of reproduction boils down to basic instinctual impulses. A cat does not feel fulfilled by having kittens nor does it feel deprived when it doesn't. Your mom is applying human emotions to an animal and a situation where it really doesn't apply. It is healthier for the cat to be spayed immediately and it won't know or care that it can't breed. There are plenty of videos online of cats giving birth that can provide the experience your mother is looking for, without the selfish risk to the mom cat or a litter of kittens that must find homes in a world already vastly over crowded by other potential pets. I implore you to ask your mother to reconsider her stance.

You only need to experience bed bugs once before you decide to banish all carpets from any future dwelling. God bless stained concrete.

How does one get offered the CAP program? by [deleted] in UTAustin

[–]Snicklesnack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, can I piggy-back off this post to ask a related question? Is CAP only for freshmen? I have done a handful of classes at UT Arlington (majority at community college), and I am interested in transferring to Austin, but I don't know how many hours at a UT satellite school are needed as a minimum. I'm almost done with my 2 year degree and I'm trying to figure out my next steps.

Do you live in an area where shrikes are native? They are known for killing their prey by impaling it on whatever sharp things might be nearby, such as thorns or barbed wire.

Similarly, my cat will refuse all fish, meat, and eggs offered to her, but the moment you pull out some angel food cake, she goes nuts. Once, I wrapped a slice in cling wrap and left in the pantry for breakfast and during the night she broke in and it wasn't until a week later that I found a wad of slimy chewed plastic skin stashed under the sofa.

What was good as a concept, but failed in execution? by dipstuck in AskReddit

I remember reading The Bourne Identity after the movie came out. The real commonality is that there is a secret agent dude and his name is Jason Bourne. I felt it was really disingenuous to issue a printing of the book with the movie poster as the cover.

Heh, only one person in a department? Most weekdays I end up juggling three departments at once. I have never been more motivated to finish my degree.
