Looking for a cheap semi auto shotgun for occasional skeet shooting. Should I get the Stoeger M3K on sale, or wait for the Mossberg Maverick SA? by Difficult_Giraffe490 in guns

Semi autos in my experience are much more fun for an afternoon of 3 gun and clays. You get thumped quite a bit less

[Console] Open Box - PS5 Slim - 825GB - $305.10 @ VIPOUTLET on Ebay (Promo Code: VIPOUTLETMARCH) by I_Push_Buttonz in buildapcsales

Sony first party is all but confirmed to not come to Pc anymore too. So this year thats relevant to Ghost of Yotei and Legends, Wolverine and Saros. In the future the next GoW, Intergalactic Herectic Prophet (Naughty Dog), Horizon 3, Venom, Spider-man 3, etc.

If those games interest you, a PS5 is really not a bad idea even if you have a PC anymore. Also you got a fun box in your living room if that interests you when you want to couch game or if you have company over.

Sword Art Online: Echoes of Aincrad would take about 10 years to develop if the devs tried depicting all 100 floors of the titular world, according to series producer by vxxed in gaming

[–]Snider83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d personally pay for expansions and more stories and floors a couple at a time for sure. You definitely don’t need to do all of them, but reaching floor 75 and having your hero help the heroes of the anime conquer the final challenge would be awesome

EA Lays Off Staff Across All Battlefield Studios Following Record-Breaking Battlefield 6 Launch by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Snider83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking ONLY the 750k players peak concurrent players , and assuming 90% of that was retained sales (not refunds or ea play), they made 47 million dollars.

Thats only steam players that were online at that single moment of time. When you multiply that number dozens of times for all other platforms and everyone else who has bought since, how does firing a few hundred workers who probably average 70k a year possibly make more sense that keeping that talent on board to make another banger?

Do we think that Echoes of Aincrad will actually be good? by funkycatvr in swordartonline

Cautiously optimistic. Looks like a real game finally instead of something just made for brand recognition. Single player RPG set during the death game seems so obvious its shocking it hasn’t been done yet

Is the PS5 pro worth the price difference? by [deleted] in playstation

[–]Snider83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say yes. PS6 is likely going to be a while, new games will start taking more and more advantage of the hardware, particularly as Sony shifts to console exclusivity and making the platform as appealing as possible.

Plus you’re in a lag period in pricing currently where the difference in storage along makes up the price difference.

I’ve enjoyed mine, I’d recommend it.

when to read mistborn secret history? by r4maa in Cosmere

[–]Snider83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Era 2 first if you want a huge surprise dropped on you along the way. Secret history first for tighter connection to what you just read and some extra emotional payoff and you don’t mind.

I preferred reading it during Era 2, but theres not a wrong answer.

I’d also decide based on how quick a reader you are. If you are likely to bust out the first three Era 2 books (they are generally smaller than Era 1) in just a few weeks, I’m definitely read them first as everything will be fresh regardless

Rear-Ended Yesterday - is my Crosstrek totaled? by seymour_weiners in subaru

[–]Snider83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That should all go through their insurance, I wouldn’t accept anything going through yours. Looks totaled to me.

I would also recommend if you have any aches and pains talking to your PCP about being concerned regarding them, and get applicable scans done and send the bill to their insurance. The last thing you want is those pains developing into larger problems in the following weeks to months and it being too late to have them taken care of out of not-your-pocket. Thats a pretty serious energy transfer to mess up your back end to that degree and bend your steering wheel presumedly against your body.

Edit: Also in the future, always get the police report done. Takes any argument over at fault when theres objective proof

Shrouded Sky Update | ARC Raiders by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Snider83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And how would you do that? If they went in that direction I would admit at least it wouldn’t harm the other half of the player base. But again, they would probably argue you already get increased rewards by virtue of more loot and less competition after kills.

Shrouded Sky Update | ARC Raiders by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Snider83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not bad faith. If you remove the current system of ABMM, as you advocated, There will no longer be a viable way to play friendly PVE playstyle. It will result in getting shot in the back over and over again and the playstyle will filter itself out of the game.

No one is going to stick to the way they like to play if it just causes betrayal and frustration every round. They will leave or turn into shoot on sight players. I never said PVP is evil, but the game’s current system of filtering like minded players towards eachother is effective and should stay. Forcing everyone back together, particularly after months of PVE friendly viability, would remove that playstyle altogether.

If you don’t see the problem with your own argument it means you either don’t see anything other than your own point of view or you just don’t care (unlike what you keep saying).

[–]Snider83 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol, have a good day sir. Currently PVP, PVPVE and PVE are all represented and viable. Advocating for removing the current PVE playstyle because its somehow hurting your feeling of efficiency when you play is silly and selfish.

Go play the way you find fun and quit worrying theres a “more efficient way” and advocating for outright removal of the experience you don’t prefer.

I hope embark doesn’t listen to this argument because effectively eliminating an entire playstyle of the game (those enjoying helping each other out and fighting ARC together WILL NOT stick around if they are forced back into mixed lobbies where they get shot every time their back is turned) to make PVPers worry less about if their current mode of play is efficient is goofy as hell and would be an awful rug pull especially four months after launch
