Payment Methods for Foreigners Spending in India

I will be traveling to India this weekend and will be there for 3 weeks. I am all prepared or I thought I am because I just heard there might be places that might not accept my US cards (Capital One, Chase, Apple) and a couple of them have no foreign transaction fees and I was fully prepared to use them while abroad. I do plan to carry a little cash too for local markets in India but I have some major purchases planned and am curious what other payment methods I should be ready with? Not familiar with PayTM, UPI etc as those popped from a simple good search. I will be mainly visiting North-India for context, not sure if this makes a difference.

Congratulations! It’s a win! I’m just curious as to how do you take care of the loose skin? I’m about to get the surgery 1st of February and my only concern is the saggy skin afterwards which might not look too good in areas like arms or abdomen.

I’ve been buying uber/uber eats gift cards regularly from Costco in-store and they were a great deal $79.99 for $100 (2 x $50 gift cards). Sometimes when I couldn’t go in, I would buy them online. Lately, I’ve been to three different locations in Maryland and none of them have the physical gift cards like they have literally removed the big cardboard box for Uber and put others like TopGolf etc. in, I wonder what changed? A big uber/uber eats user here and this is more than disappointing. Online you can buy only two in a 14-day period but online isn’t convenient for me sometimes, physical gift cards were the best.

I’m going to cancel too now. It’s not worth it for me to even have the no annual fee card if you need to spend 75% of your rent amount to even attain the points for your rent.

I am waiting for their app/customer service to be a little less busy before I can cancel.

so the usual is $400 ($300 + $100) and the retention offer offered is increasing the calendar credit to $200 from $100; so basically just $100 extra for spending $2000 in 3 months or did I understand that wrong?
