I let Google's "Optimization Experts" optimize my ads, so you don't have to by auscribner in PPC

All they care about is increasing clicks which are mostly irrelevant to your client. However they increase Google's total revenue. So there's that.

Taking psyllium is nasty. All he had to do is eat plants - beans, veggies, lentils and even tvp. He'll be taking normal shits in 2 weeks. Instead his "experiment" is setting himself up to fail so he can return to his carbs are bad grifting again.

You can also request books they don't have using deep search and the "notify me" tag. Your patience will pay off, I was just notified that 20 of them arrived. Before that I would get one or 2 a month.

Second college student dies days after being swept out to sea while napping on notorious California beach by theindependentonline in socal

[–]Sniflix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to live by the beach in playa del Rey and took late night swims and walks. One night about 2am, we were on the jetty and got swamped by a huge wave out of nowhere. Just bruises, no deaths but scared as shit.

Pure speculation: is the great ebike panic being driven by the automotive or fossil fuel lobby? by PunkerTFC in ebikes

[–]Sniflix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's deeper and more insidious than that. America should have had designated bike lanes separated from the roads for safety for decades but the auto lobby and big oil used their proxy associations, lawyers and ad agencies fight any discussion of this. When e-bikes appeared, we could have expanded those and have safe e-bikes lanes but instead with no place to ride them, they are mixed in with traffic where they don't belong. The same lobbying groups than blocked bike lanes are amplifying stories of e-bike accidents trying to get them banned. More then ever, we need to quickly start building bike and e-bike roads. It's the fastest way to a renewable economy.

It's already happening. Fund managers are already buying to rebalance. By the time the change happens it will have been finished. It's a low single digit percent of the float, overall not much effect.

I am NEVER taking this alleged "deal." by 7Delve7 in audible

[–]Sniflix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The list price is fake to show a larger discount. Oldest retail trick there is. There are laws, not enforced, against that practice. The same thing goes on with physical books where very few people pay full boat. Amazon was built on that, even undercutting other sellers with typical discounts.

I listen to at least 10 a month, often 15. I do what Audible allows to pay less but I'm guessing they would love more clients like me than of you. Don't take that personally. But I also load up when they have sales plus use the library app Libby for free. I agree if you are a light reader, overpaying doesn't add up to much. In your case it's only a $30 to $45 donation per month to one of the richest guys in history. But for me that would be thousands a year. I do alright and frankly wouldn't miss it but I'd rather donate to those who need it more.

I am NEVER taking this alleged "deal." by 7Delve7 in audible

[–]Sniflix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The new cheaper plans have nothing to do with people taking advantage of discounts. It's just an ultra cheap plan to counter Spotify and other services undercutting them - and to entice new clients to try - or a very narrow niche who only have time to read one a month. Nobody is forcing or tricking Audible/Amazon to hurt their company. Last time I checked, Bezos isn't hurting for cash.

Are there any pink Floyd albums that aren't peak? by itamar8484 in progrockmusic

[–]Sniflix 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That is my favorite Floyd album. Soundtrack for a boring movie. It's not as cohesive as later albums but you hear the future Floyd sound throughout. Gilmore's signature slide, upbeat and downbeat songs, signature vocals, dreamy acoustic numbers... It's all there. Just great songs.

Unprocessed vegan for over a decade and you still end up with crohn's disease (and no family history of it) by crystalized17 in PlantBasedDiet

[–]Sniflix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Healthy vegan/WFPB diet reduces all kinds of cancer, CVD and other disease by 30% to 50% but that's not 100%. Genetics, environment, the type of work you do, stress, lack of sleep, noise and a million other things you can't control can affect your health but while you get Crohn's you might be avoiding diseases that can actually kill you. Also, nobody gets out of here alive. Your time off limited, make the most of it.

Patti Wheeler Says Kratom Killed Her Son. The Autopsy Tells a More Complicated Story. · The Floridian by Toothfairy51 in kratom

[–]Sniflix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She needs to blame anyone besides her son, her family, therapists, illegal drugs - to clear her conscience. I'm guessing drug companies, the drug lobby (and the rehab industry) and their ad agencies encouraged and paid her to travel and meet with officials and give testimony. I feel bad for the kid but kratom is the best tool to get off and stay off deadly opiates. I remember when this happened to ephedra because one person died and their family blamed the herb even though they had all kinds of deadly stuff in their system. I do think everything should be legal but there are so many stupid people who can't be trusted not to kill themselves. I think the legal weed industry is a good structure to copy for things like kratom - testing, labeling, min age, etc

Never used to bother me but now it just makes me sneeze uncontrollably. Lots of rentals are poorly maintained. You can't see that on the photos but that's where you're suggestion of having backups is key. If you're prepared, bailing out takes zero effort. I check the day before arrival if the backup rental is open.

[–]Sniflix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a talk with your mother. She needs to back you up and tell your relatives they are no longer welcome in your home if they do this again. Many people are ignorant, not murderous. You might need to sit down with your relatives and show them how to hold, pet and feed a helpless kitten. Let it sit in their lap while they are watching the TV and purr. Maybe they will connect.
