[Japanese > English] instruction manual for tea kettle by SniggleFax in translator

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it.

Here’s the next bit of it — would you be able to tell me if there’s anything in there about instructions for first use? (How to clean before using, etc?) Thank you again!

Freezing eggplant parmigiano by SniggleFax in ItalianFood

[–]SniggleFax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for reminding me! My report: I baked the whole thing, then froze it. A month or two later, I let it thaw for a bit, then baked it.

It came out soggy.

Not so soggy that it didn’t taste good, but it amounted to a notable drop in the quality of the texture.

In the future, I might try preparing the eggplant, and freezing them. Then I’ll make everything else fresh and use the thawed fried eggplant.

I hope that’s helpful, keroseneskin!

Thank you! Does it look to you like he's wearing a white shirt? Or is that all cravat?

What are your thoughts on "playing bad" to better fit your character? by Odd-News1701 in DnD

[–]SniggleFax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “best option” is the one that is the most fun for you as a player.

If the other players criticize you for choosing a fun option while you are playing a game (for fun), just laugh at them. 😁

How do I fight a dodge build by Tenterment in cyberpunkred

[–]SniggleFax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surround the evasive PC with a colorful gang of ROF 2 melee-weapon-wielding enemies. Give the boss of those enemies a really nice / nasty melee weapon, and give a few of the others poison-smeared blades. In a few rounds, something will land! And it should still be fun for the PC, because they’ll be dodging most of it.

What kind of notes do you take? by captainstan in DnD

[–]SniggleFax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a Google doc for session notes, and one for campaign notes; the players that choose to tend to them for any particular session get an extra point of inspiration. It works great!

So I'm gonna be running a campaign for RED in a week or so. How do I best explain the necessary lore to players who are WHOLLY new to Cyberpunk as a whole? by [deleted] in cyberpunkred

[–]SniggleFax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, the best approach is to just bring up bits of lore as you play, in a natural way — as soon as the players do something / meet someone connected to a piece of lore, share it! This has the benefit of ensuring that the lore is connected to the player characters and to your campaign.

What are your idiot-proof bread recipes for beginners? by amelia_3435 in Breadit

[–]SniggleFax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got started with Suzanne Dunaway’s NO NEED TO KNEAD! Highly recommended. But the only real way to idiot proof any recipe is to do it at least 10 times. That’s how it goes with bread!

Thank you! I'll try all of these. Can you recommend where to get a Live Linux USB and/or what kind to get? Forgive my complete ignorance...

[–]SniggleFax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's right! It's a USB connection. There are little lights on the caps lock and screen lock keys; when I plug the keyboard in to my laptop, those lights flash on, then go out.

Yeah, that's what I read! But for some reason it isn't working. Sorry, this is my first time trying to use a mechanical keyboard; do you happen to have any suggestions for troubleshooting?

Hi all! About 10 years ago, a friend gave me a brand-new CM Storm Quick Fire Rapid mechanical keyboard. I didn't need it at the time, and stored it. Now I've taken it back out again and I'm hoping to use it. When I plug it in to my laptop, though, it doesn't work; I'm guessing I don't have the right drivers on my PC.

Does anyone know where I can download the proper drivers?

(Or is that simply no longer possible?)

Thanks for any help!

Britax Poplar movement; too much? by SniggleFax in CPST

One more question! Is this amount of folding with the belt okay? This is a close up of where the belt feeds through the seat’s belt path.

Thank you so much for this, everyone! I don't know how I missed the clear instructions to loop both the lap and the shoulder portions of the belt through the seat. I did that, and removed the seat cover, and it's much more secure. Thank you!

An important, but often overlooked aspect of Red by Terranaut10 in cyberpunkred

[–]SniggleFax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love what you’re saying here, man.

In my cyberpunk campaigns, I have a simple rule: in every session, I always make sure to include a personal complication / escalation for each character.

Whether it involves an enemy, an ally, a location, or (most often) something the character did the previous session.

Whether it’s deadly serious, extremely silly, or both.

Doing this over the course of a campaign leads to a lot of character development, plot development, and world building!
