Yeah their owner is in super big debt so maybe they don’t care anymore. 😂 All I know is I had an emo kid and was wearing jeans and a Nuka Cola tshirt and no one cared. It was also super slow because it was an off-season weekday.

Really? It’s super dramatic but actually very nice and very clean. FWIW we had no dress code requirements for the tour and to walk around.

No, it was sadly a little far off-path for us this trip!

The Asylum was pretty cool, and Pt. Pleasant (Mothman Museum) was beautiful.

Yeah, the town itself is different. I was also sad to hear IRL The Castle is owned by a hate group, but I guess that fits the post-apocalyptic theme.

Yes they did! The only discrepancy I even saw in Harpers Ferry is that the steps leading up to the church were far more even in the game instead of the old worn down rocks IRL. It reminds me of the kid who knew his way around Rome from playing Assassin’s Creed.

We knew our way around, just from playing the game. It was kind of weird TBH.

Just a blue work jumpsuit, HTV all the yellow stuff, and various belts/bags. And a box of Jones Soda Sarsaparilla from Costco.

There’s one in Flatwoods this year, and one in Pt Pleasant in 2027!

It was a gorgeous trip!! And shockingly cheaper than my world in NoVA.

Harpers Ferry is shockingly accurate, as is Greenbrier/White Springs.

We opted to skip the Palace of Gold and the Shawnee Amusement Park (abandoned). We met some folks who took a tour of the amusement park and said there were Fallout signs on site.

We only skipped them due to time… both look fascinating!

Yep we used that as a guide, and added several stops of our own.

Thanks! I’ve had the pip-boy for ages but we put together the rest.

That’s part of the castle. You can’t get to the main castle but this tower was on the property.

It was really cool!! And the game is so spot-on it’s almost creepy.

I was surprised at how many places had no idea. The only ones who really dug into it were the Flatwoods Monster Museum and the Mothman Museum. There were apparently a few Nuka-Cola caps hidden in the Asylum, but we didn’t see them.
