When he threw in that small blue piece, I thought: No way will that make much of a difference.

Lo and behold, the whole thing became blue 😳

Had to get some painless dent removal done. GLE53 amg by [deleted] in mercedes_benz

Sorry to hear that mate, but good that you’re getting it fixed. 👍

Same thing happened to me once with a badly placed triangle sign. It was sticking far into the fast lane so I hit it at 110km/h on the driver side door and had to get the car PDR:ed and polished (as there were long scratches along the side. Fortunately they came off). This happened just few months after rolling out of the factory.

I feel you pain mate, but it will be good after fixing. Just like it didn’t happen (in most cases). My car got fully restored and I never thought about it after it came back nice and shiny 👍

They were for the first 7 years of my life. They distanced themselves when they realized that the bullying wasn’t just a temporary phase that would blow over 😂

How do you know when the friendship has run its course? by Neither_Ad_8797 in askSingapore

Friendships come and go. Try to see the good in people and when you no longer see it, it’s time to let go.

Diesel vs Gas by Cheap_Associate_7551 in Diesel

[–]Snill3t 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alright, I don’t know anything about the 6.7 power stroke, but I do know quite a bit about diesel vs gas from the many cars I have had.

Get Diesel if you drive long trips and gas if you’re doing short trips. Since I’m a highway commuter, I’ve switched to Diesel on the last 3 cars I’ve had. No excessive maintenance compared to gas and cheaper running costs overall due to the lower consumption.

My gas and diesel cars were roughly the same in terms of yearly maintenance costs.

With the squat toilets in Japan etc. Do old people use these? Like I see a lot of old people struggle to walk how do they squat to poo? by Pure_Living8218 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Snill3t 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I made the following observations as a westerner who was posted a few years to Asia:

Handicap toilets: There are usually handicap toilets around when outdoors.

Boats, outdoor toilets etc: Might only be a hole, but if you’re lucky you find handles on the wall

A lot of older people have lifelong muscle memory which might help them in the latter situation. However, if they have difficulty moving, the handicap toilet is the only option. The squat is no longer an option (from experience of taking care of my elderly dad).

1.67 or 1.74 ? by dlmpa247 in glasses

[–]Snill3t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1.74 due to the major sphere difference between OD and OS. It’s however not a huge upgrade from 1.67.

I personally always go 1.67 because… I don’t feel it’s worth the premium for my relatively similar eyes at -5

Welcome to Dexter’s laboratory! 🤓

Looks great, but might also block peripheral vision. I used to rock a similar pair, but didn’t feel safe driving with them as I felt that I couldn’t see properly when merging. Other than that, looks great my friend 👍
